Hello Friends,

Thought to create a dedicated thread for the latest release/Upcoming Vinyl LP Record information.

Just received an email from NGH Delhi, T-Series is going to release some titles on Vinyl.

  1. Aashiqui-2 (180 Grams) - Rs. 1499/-
  2. Aashiqui (2 LP Set) (180 Grams) - Rs. 2999/-
  3. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (180 Grams) - Rs. 1499/-
  4. Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (180 Grams) - Rs. 1499/-
  5. Salman Khan Hits (Picture Disc) (140 Grams) - Rs. 1999/-
  6. R.D. Burman Hits (180 Grams) - Rs. 1499/-

Aashiqui 2 (This is in demand and may get good sale

Aashiqui I am not very much excited as possibility is old titles would be pressed from digital source (we all know about Aashiqui CD recording)

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam This is good, should be decently pressed. I hope they release it with Gate-Fold Cover with some nice huge artwork.

Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak Its old LP pressing is good. CD is decent as well, so I am expecting a good LP here.

Salman Khan Hits (T-Series got the rights of Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya, Mujhse Shadi Karogi, Lucky, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, Baghban, Bodyguard, Dus, Garv, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Jai Ho, Yuvraaj, Wanted, Tere Naam, Ready, Partner, Kick, Dabangg, Dabangg 2, Hero etc.) Releasing on Picture Disc AGAIN is good start for Indian Industry. They should try this with Aashiqui (1990) and source from Analog source from scratch.

R.D. Burman Hits (There are many movies on T-Series) Some common famous songs are

Aaja Meri Jaan_Title Song
Alag Alag_Dil Mein Aag Lagaye
Alag Alag_Kabhi Bekasi Ne Mara

Aag Se Khelenge_Tere Naina
Anokha Rishta_Aaj Ka Din
Anokha Rishta_Tune Ye Jana
Dacait_Kis Kaaran Naiya Doli
Inaam Dus Hazaar_Jaane Bhi Do Yaar
Inaam Dus Hazaar_Chand Koi Hoga Tumsa Kahan

Namumkin_Bahut Door Hoke
Oonche Log_Aaj Tu Gair Sahi
Oonche Log_Dil Kya Chahe
Oonche Log_Tera Ghar Teri Galiyan

Tadap_Jise Pyar Zamana Kehta Hai
Tadap_Tadap Jeene Nahin Deti
Zabardast_Suno Sitamgar
Zabardast_Jab Chaha Yaara Tune

Zalzala_Are Chaakoo Chale

Delivery is due today by FeDex. YouTube Pressing Test Video sounds like have pitch and speed issues. May be because of Turntable, stroboscope was not looking correct.
I have another end-user video which has no issues but has more treble (may be due to amplifier settings).

Hello,
heard Baazigar LP this morning. Not very impressed. It lacks bass and sounds bit unnatural. I think those who has cd no need to get this.
Thanks.

Got my copy too. There is no speed issues. I was expecting heavy 180gm vinyl here but it is I think 140gm LP. Comes in soft thick Outer Sleeve (Better than Sony DADC), LP Record is inserted in Paper Sleeve Only (without inner poly layer), I would prefer Sony DADC one here.

Did a quick spin and to compared this Baazigar Vinyl with Indian Baazigar CD (Venus, Manufactured in 1998) and International Edition released on Melody.

This LP is sounds close to early Indian edition CD (not the most recent ones), thin sound but IT HAS clean and smooth details and sounds better than that CD (for me).

BUT comparing this LP with Melody CD, Melody CD win for me.
Reason: LP sounds more sharp (like on Indian CD) than Melody CD... which has a deep sound, balanced, felt weight in sound, bass is good, higher frequencies are controlled. People who listened some Time Music and Melody CDs (Vijaypath is good example) can understand what I mean here.

Overall: I am happy with the final product, Could be better but this is first attempt and it doesn't disappoint.
Suggestion: Need to work on artwork for future releases. Arranging images, photoshoots from archive is very important. It will make the LP release worth. Also I know it's hard but try to source it from actual origin/Analog source/Spool Tapes/DAT.

Now I am expecting Deewana, Mashooq, Saajan, Dilwale, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Salaami, Khiladi etc.

LP Front cover was not as per my expectation... thought to create something different for myself. :yahoo:

I did this with whatever images I had. It includes spine at the middle as well, I have kept the Baazigar lettering in the spine too

(Please see this in full size) :D

I want to make sure my comment conveys correct message, this is all about Melody CD.

Santosh, I am still working on the artwork. Updated artwork is below.

I had some images in high-resolution but I have to search for that. After completion I will print ONLY Front Cover on 250-300gsm paper just to put that inside the sleeve. I am expecting good results in print.

Just seen a reissue of Don come up on Amazon.com and eBay (US sellers).

12" EP Marigold Yellow Vinyl
500 Numbered Copies
40th Anniversary of the Film (1977)

This is being touted as the first reissue of Don LP since 1977 (not sure if that is true or not). But sounds interesting anyhow. Amazon list the release label as "SilvaScreen" but the cover art has the SaReGaMa logo on it so I am not sure where this is coming from. It says it will be released in April. Hoping it is a good quality release.

I have heard Saregama is releasing DON soon manufactured by Sony DADC.
So if they are almost ready to press on Black, then pressing some additional 500 Marigold Yellow copies as special edition is not a big deal (just need to change the material). Releasing Limited Edition could be a decent idea for ANY release.

While releasing DDLJ re-issue, they should have release some as picture disc (1499/-?). :yahoo:
