Upgrade floor standing

Hmm no the max watt spec is only the spec beyond which the speaker will start to distort. Nothin else. Since the minimum is well within the limits of the receiver, its all good. Moreover In casual listening 80w is a Lot. If you measure, you may not even touch 20w. But yes, ideally if you are 70-80% of the max limit, then it is good for the amp, lesser chance of overdriving it. Impedance and Sensitivity are still more important specs for a speaker. There are numerous links that can be referred to for this.

You are welcome. What are the other options available with your dealer?

MaSh
Tannoy, qacoustics, taga, Polk audio, mission, svs, Boston acoustics, elac, Yamaha...etc. he insisted on purchase of qacoustics 3050i or elac debut 2.0 F6.2 rather than Polk audio RTI A7 but I was confused between qacoustics & RTI A7.

May be.
But my understanding justification is altogether different may be wrong also.
As u mentioned 25 - 300w is the capacity it means the speaker can withstand max 300w with +/- some tolerance.
So ideally your speaker will shine once it reaches the 75% or more of the max withstand capacity
( Say the performance output of speaker is from 0 - 100%) .where the Denon1500 is at max output is 80w which is less than 50% of the withstanding capacity of the speaker, but more juice is reqd to shine the speaker. Thats what i meant
IMHO.
Correct me if Iam wrong.
Oops diverting from the op thread
Good question, have words with Pro FX service engineer regarding compatibly between these two RTI A7 & Denon 1500, according to him system will drive speakers without any problems & also ask me to wait for August/September as new model Denon 4600 is launching....but as per your calculations Denon 4600 will also be max 125w @ 8ohm ( seeing current 4500 specs)....more confusing.

Was reading article at Polk audio website regarding the truth about power rating of speakers..... screenshot is attached along with. According to this article QA & RTI A7 are equal 91db Vs 89db.

Elac debut 2.0 f6.2 is a very good option worth considering alongside the q3050i. Try to look around for fyne f303 as well. They're excellent vfm floorstanders!

Hi,
I never told driving could be an issue.
I am trying to mention that we will be under utilizing the speaker potential with Denon X1500H.
Still not getting !?
One simple question u can ask that technical expert " which receiver could be perfect match / almost perfect match for RTiA7 ?"
"DenonX4500 Vs Denon X1500 which one is match for RTIA7 compared between these models and demand for reason keeping the budget part side"
Hope that clarifies your query.
And then read my comments in this thread .I stop here.
Atb for your setup. :)
