I'm moving from North America to India in the new year and have a power tech question.
Since power in the area I'm moving is unreliable (frequent outages), I would like to use a UPS to avoid damaging equipment. However, I'm not sure how best to accomplish this in combo with a stepdown transformer.
3 Options:
1) Stepdown Transformer followed by 110v UPS (I already have one of these) followed by 110v equipment
2) 240v UPS followed by Stepdown Transformer followed by 110v equipment
3) A product that does contains both the stepdown and UPS together (reasonably priced).
Note that the house I am moving to has power stabilizers so surging should not be an issue.
Any advice, expertise on the above issue is greatly appreciated.
