Hi folks

I’ve really gotta sell my current Q Acoustics 3070S ASAP, hopefully shouldn’t take that long!
Dunno why this sub gets a lot of stick from AV website forums ?

Anyway... I’ve just upgraded my Walnut Monitor Audio Bronze 6’s and the Bronze Centre to the new Bronze 500 Floorstanders and Bronze C150 Centre
(they arrive next Thursday or Friday) Excited muchly! Everything in white to match my TV unit

so... in the next 4 or 5 weeks I’m gonna have to shell out for a new subwoofer... and yes it’s gotta be white to match my new Bronze stuff

any ideas on one that’ll be a huge upgrade and give me a nicer bigger sound?

was thinking the only choice could be an SVS-PB1000?
best one for the money and my budget?
please! No more than £450 to £500 MAX!

not powerful enough at 220 watts and only goes down as low as 28hz.. far from what a proper sub should do
Don’t go on power ratings. I heard it alongside some more powerful and higher priced subs from some other subwoofer specialist brands and the quality and quantity of bass was better than those higher priced subs (it was significantly louder and effectively dug deeper than my oTher sub which is rated at 250W and 20hz). Give it an audition and you’d be surprised. If you want even more bass and real excursion into sub 20hz, you’ll have to extend your budget unless you buy used. Plus, what a proper sub should do depends on use case scenario. My REL T9i (999 GBP) is rated at only 300 watts and 28hz but it is second to none when it comes to augmenting bass for music. Don’t go only on specs. If you want to understand why they aren’t the be all end all, try driving your monitor audios through a naim uniti atom which is rated at only 40w per channel and you’d be surprised at the authority and musicality with which it can drive it

Hi.

Since you are in the UK, you can try BK subwoofers which is an ID company. This company supposedly makes good subwoofers at a reasonable rate. You can check the price at their site.

If budget can be stretched slightly then you can try Arendal.
There seems one white sub with BK but in Arendal, subs in white are there but much more expensive.

Regards,
Nitin

Congratulations on your upgrade. I think SVS-PB 1000 is a great choice, I own one and I don't think you ever regret. Although I don't think PB-1000 comes in white color, I have seen SB-1000 in white though. If you are adamant about it and fan of Sealed Subwoofers than you can go with that as well.

Another subwoofer that I would suggest is Monolith by Monoprice 10'' THX Select. You can get it for 445 Euros but you wouldn't white color in this either.

At 590, XTZ 10.17 EDGE Matte White is the best sub you can buy at your price range. Trust us.

Far better performance than the usual subs and a better performance over pb1000. This also comes in your preferred color in EU i.e in UK.
XTZs are very good and have a great market in EU, comes with 5 year warranty and i think it also has the 30 Day trial period there.

Another major advantage is that the Sub comes with a variety of options in frequency, volume, gain and PEQ settings.

The cheapest MJ acoustics sub would cost you 320 pounds which equates to about 28000 INR and guess whats the price of the same over here 93000INR

Tell me about it!!, I saw the uk price and checked with their indian distributer and boy i was in shock seeing the prices

The subwoofers costing around 60 k INR in the US are costing around 1 to1.2 lakhs here. Senseless, random duties & taxes levied here. Prices of very few products are on par with the international prices here.
