Which is the better AVR for Sonodyne SOnus 2605 - pls suggest

What I meant is that they are not so willing to give you hourlong demos like the other HI Dealers of Kolkata

Yamaha RX 371/373, will it be able to drive the 2605s? I am concerned about the AVR's capability to drive these, powerwise the specification seems allright in paper. If anyone has any experience regarding this please share.
Thanks.

If you look at the specs of sonus you will notice that it is capable of handling continuos power of 130 Watts at 8 ohm impedance. However if you look at the specs of 371 or 373 even their dynamic peak power at similar impedance is much less and needless to say the continuos power is also less. Does this mean that 371 or 373 never play Sonus? No, they will but at high volumes there will remain the potential to damage both unless amp shuts off itself automatically. Remeber that amp / speaker matching is a very debatable subject and apart from power matching there are lot of other things to consider. Some useful readings below

You can try Yamaha RXV 473 ,it will be better match for 2605.As Yamaha AVR's are little brighter than other Brand AVR's.
