Yamaha RX-V-565

Dear all,

I am a new bie here, I was having Yamaha RX-V357 with NSP-430 Speakers. Now I want to upgrade the receiver. First I thought of going for RX-V365 then I opted out as it is not having the HDMI Audio throughput.

Then thought of going for RX-V465 and wowed to know that RX-V565 is having the Video Upscaling option and 7.1 channel. So, Now I am thinking of RX-V565. I need your advice on the following. My usage would be 100% on watching movies and HD DTH. As of now no gaming and as of now i am not upgrading the speakers (Just 5.1 speakers with 7.1 receiver and later I want to upgrade the speakers)

1. Is it worth to go for RX-V565 (In Chennai I am getting the last offer for 28k)

2. Can I get the better price in any place in Chennai or even in Bangalore.

3. Really the upscaling converts normal TV signal to 720i or 1080i ?

4. Please let me know if there is any equalent available in Denon or Onkyo.

You may get Denon 1610 or Onkyo SR 308 under 30k in India

For 7.1/7.2 AV try out Denon1910 and Onkyo SR608, where as SR608 is the only entry level which is THX certified.

Chennai Prices are usually cheaper then Bangalore.
