I bought a Yamaha RX-V571 few days back, connected it to my Sony Bravia HDTV and since then the corresponding HDMI input on TV is not working.
I checked the TV with another HDMI source (HTPC), the result was like "Unsupported format, check input signal ". I checked the AVR with another HDTV and the result was "No signal". However I got a replacement from YAMAHA dealer against manufacturing defect.
Could there be any problem? I think I first turned on the AVR and then the TV which was in standby until then. I had two DVD players and set-top-box connected to TV at that time. Anyone else with same / similar problems? I haven't connected the new 571 to TV yet.
And, the 571 sounded too good for my speakers.
Fronts - 4x Philips FW326, 12 ohms (two nos. per ch)
Surround - Philips surround speakers (16ohms each, wall mountable)
Center speaker - NIL
Sub-woofer - JBL CS1215 in ported box (33Hz) with 100W (true) DIY amplifier. What can I do to upgrade this setup? I can spend up to 10k for 7 channels.
Thanks.
