Hi
What is the best way to play 5.1 Audio in SW player to send it to two channel integrated Amp
My current setup is like : HTPC --> Windows Media player Classic HC -> AC3 Filter -> Co-Axial Digital Out -> Burrbrown DAC -> Int Amp -> two Speakers .
In my current setup , i always feel the lack of impact espcially in the action sequence .
It was much better in my earlier system as below
HTPC -> Windows Media player Classic HC or XBMC -> DolbyDigital/DTS passthrough -> Denon AVR -> Two speakers .
Speakers are the same on both cases .
Looks like the AVR does the Decoding of DTS/Dolby and downmixing it to stero better than the SW plugin ( AC3 Filter )
Now i dont have AVR with me . Is there a better way of doing it .
I tired XBMC which is even worse compared to Windows Media player Classic HC with AC3 Filter
