Anybody tried softdome or Silkdome tweeters from Parts express

1. How difficult of a thing is to do.

2. Any impact on the Speaker performance.

Do we need to check for tweeter sizes like fastening style to teh cabinet, length, breadth, height factors or all the tweeters fit in every speaker.

Has anybody go experiance in that.

What other things we need to consider if we want to consider after market tweeters.

this is too good a question !

- first - it is very difficult - parts express is the american company and having to import the exact same part is hercules task - just ask sombuddy!

you have to get immense credit card and completely order the parts with full trust in the god and peoples (and even then - the tweeter will come to you with fingger punch- and destroyed)

second - it cannots fit your speaker style completely. - the round of the tweeter may be too big - so you has to carve the wood - without correct implements (like of - chisel, router etc. etc. etc.) it may become impossible except for good carpenter.

thirdly and mostly - nonebody on this froum has gotting this experience of doing this - so - you are on your own

better to buy from local market - evryything is available - tweeter - woofer- cross-over - cabinet - completely full-matching.
