Best ever deal for loudspeaker kits.

Am not talking about Peerless taking any responsibilities. Infact its not their job also
But if Danny can talk to someone close in peerless, they can give some advice as they will know how the system works in mumbai very well and maybe share their clearing agent.
If addressee does not have Importer License then clearing agent hike their fees and use workarounds (;)).
So going legally for more than 2K INR goods one need to have -
1. Importer Code
2. Proper Invoice/Bill payment proof
3. Pay Customs accordingly.

I learned this with notice from purchase of my phono preamp from USA.

Hey trittya,

You can get in one this action two. I also have something for you. I have the best line array kits money can buy and the prices are reasonable too. See them here: LS-6 and LS-9 kits! Get them while you can. And this one: LS-6 and LS-9 kits are now ready for shipping

Thanks a lot, Danny, I had considered these kits as well as those from Rick Craig at Selah Audio. The problem is two-fold, one, as such they are beyond my budget esp due to the No and cost of those BG Neo8 planars. Second, shipping and custom charges do not make the situation any better. Therefore, for want of a better choice, I have to resort to domes in India, even at the cost of (negligible) near field directivity. The other option is that I resort to horn flares/waveguides but the cost of a good budget compression driver is again equally formidable. These will have other problems like CTC distance will need to be maintained so selection of the driver as well as the horn becomes tougher.

Nevertheless, the first prototype will comprise of inexpensive elliptical/oval shaped FR drivers in a MCLA design. Later, I will stick to the MCLA for cabinet design but have one line of tweeters flanked by a woofer-line on either side. Something like this.
Symmetrica

But, I daresay that had I been in the US, I would have surely jumped at your offer which is indeed fantastic quality and VFM. However, I would be possibly interested in some good (longer than 6", you know why, LOL) planar tweeter (quotes) which I can consider if the group buying this stuff consents to its shipping therewith.

Thanks a lot again
and
Warm Regards

trittya,

If using dome tweeters then you need to get the center to center spacing to within 1" to avoid comb filtering issues down in the audible ranges.

Also, two lines of woofers or mid-bass drovers has it's own set of problems. If the crossover point is low like what the LS-6 and LS-9 designs allow then that solves the issue of having a consistent off axis in both directions without the problems that two lines of woofers causes. In fact the design you mentioned will have some off axis issues in both directions.

Ok guys, I think the interest has petered out. FYI one non servo sub driver & 2 SA-1 plate amps are available. Also, lots of X-LS Original & Encore kits are available. Shall we leave the window open for a week & then pre-close the offer?

Hi Captain,

I am interested in a X-LS Encore Stereo speaker pair kit. I will also be interested in the Encore X-CS Centre speaker kit if I can get conformation that an AVR like Denon 1911 would support a 3.0 setup (I am a complete noob here as you can obviously see :o so any info would be really appreciated), and the later add the Surrounds and the Sub. If not, then I think I will drop the Center Speaker go in for the SW-12B + SA-1 Sub amp for a 2.1 setup.

Thanks & Warm Regards!

PS: Please allow me to slip in one more newbie Question.. will an AVR like the Denon 1911 be able tor drive these speakers?

PPS: I am in Bangalore.

I'm surprised no one here is interested in Danny's N2X and N3 models...

main difference would be the ribbon tweeter isnt it? how would they compare with the encore/statik peerless tweeters (top of the line as per danny)?.

Hi,

I'm not too sure if Denon would be able to drive these speakers. If I'm not mistaken, Denon 1911 is an entry level AVR and these speakers are not book shelfs but mini monitors and thus would require reasonable power to drive them. A Denon 1911, if underpowered and connected to all the five speakers (Pair of X-LS + one X-CS + AV1 surrounds) may struggle to supply the requisite power.

As for your question of 3.0 or 2.1, if I were you, I would've selected 2.1 without battling an eyelid.

That Denon has 90watts per channel. It can run fine with 3.0 or even 5 speaker setup. I don't think the Encore's need a lot of power to drive those. I have an entry level Onkyo and it powers the 7x JBL speakers (3 of those being studio monitors) without problem. Check my signature.
In any case, get the drivers now because you will save a lot on shipping. You can build them later if need be. Imagine how much you will end up spending on shipping without this group buy. Captain has rightly got the momentum and its better to take advantage of it.

Actually all of those speakers are a pretty easy 8 ohm load. So it should be able to drive all of them without a problem.

Thanks Captain, Manoj & Danny.

Captain, please add me to the lists for the X-LS Encore Pair, the SW-12B + SA-1 Sub amp for a 2.1 setup, 2 sheets of No Rez for the LS pair and the Sub (or would 1 suffice?), and Sonicap upgrade for X-LS Encore.

Cheers!

Hi guys, I have experience of getting goods imported to India through sea ports if you want to know any details regarding the process you can talk to me on phone because I can't post everything here its a long process and lots of points to be taken care of.

25$, wow. captain

does he have it for statiks/voce. avrs-1 and servo sub(single driver version).

I am upgrading the fronts from encore to statik and voce

Thre is one guy in the Audiocircle who is supplying the cabinets in FKD form and offering it for $25. I'm trying to work out if this can be included in the same pallet.

If anyone of you are interested in these, pl express your interest in this thread. Same is the case for Danny's MTMs.

Best deal on loudspeaker kits ever.

Hi Capt,
