Budget of 70-80 K

Hi All

Need help of all you gurus. I love music but have very little knowledge abt assembling a system. Definitely don't want to go fr Boss or any other small wall mount system. went to ProFx n liked KEF n Polk Audio (bt he quotd a budget of 1.80k). Listen to symphonies, jazz, gazals, rock..No hard metal for me.
Pl reccommend:
1. 5.1 Amp (or do u think its worth gng fr 7.1)
2. two floor speakers
3 sub-woofer, n
4 2 wall mount small speakers.

I will listen to 70% music n 30% movies. Also, pl recommend shops in Mumbai where I can buy. Is there anything else I shd be concerned about when going to shop. Do I need to bargain etc.

Audition PSB Alpha and Image series speakers paired through a Denon 1911 or equivalent. You can audition this setup at Lakozy Electronics Mumbai.

if youre listening habits are 70% music then i suggest you go with a stereo setup. a stereo amp and 2 floorstanders. you will get much better sq. the speakers to beat in that price range is the monitor audio rx6. amps to match are the nad, cambridge, marantz, depending on your listening preference. you can also look at the usher be 718 (about 1.2 lakhs). amazing set of speakers

Thanks guys. Do you have any recco from where should i buy from. Will go to Lakozy this weekend.

I will check out these brands. Any particular model you liked. How much should I be looking to pay for a gud pair of floor speakers. Looks like Denon Amp is good..
