Can laptop with blu ray player play region B or C discs?

Hi,

I had bought a laptop from Canada in 2008. It has a blu ray player. I was wondering if it can play all region discs or only region A ones?

I have not used any BLU ray yet so not clear.

I am planning to buy Avatar Blu Ray. Site mention that is Region B and Region C Blu ray. So I am confused. If the player in my laptop plays only Region A, then that disc will be of no use to me.

You can install anyDVD HD which will make any Bluraydisc as regfree & can play any region(like I use for desktop)
