Hi,
Is anyone using the casio projector for HT. I had auditioned the XJ A130 and found the view quality good. I don't understand the remaining hifi stuff, hence please advise if this looks ok.
I will be playing Blue rays etc. in a room size of 10 by 12ft.
The price quoted was 55000 plus taxes at Pune.
Pl advise

Dont know about casio models. But you can get better models for lesser price with native resolution XGA. Hitachi CP-RX80 somewhere around 31K and dell(dont remember the exact model) around 41K. Benq/Acer in the range of 35K

But this Casio uses LED + Laser source which is costlier than traditional lamps. Better get it auditioned and compare all. Prices are as per technology.

What is the min and max screen size. How much is ansi lumens and contrast ratio?

Google it vijay you will will get

It simply means it takes a PC/ computer as the main (native) source and Video as supported feature. 1024x768 is a standard resoution for PC (XGA4:3). Now it accpets the Video signal as 720p, 1080i, 1080p/60, 576i, 576p which are SD/HD Video standards but it will downscale /upscale to its native only.

If you connect 1024x768 PC as a source you will get the best imaage possible for 1:1 pixel mapping. Other than this any signal needs a conversion and depends upon the actual scaling between 2 interfaces.

As Mr. Viper has told, its native resolution is XGA. Through different input it will support a resolution upto 1600x1200, but ultimately upscale or downscale the same to XGA.

I have doubts about the image size it can project. Casio link shows the size of image ranges from 15" to 300". However projector central gives the same as 40" to 200" (I converted from cm to Inch). Even 200" is more than enough for a home user. Brightness is at the basic level 2000 ANSI lumens. Contrast ratio is really low 1800:1, particularly if it is dynamic ratio. The contrast and lumens shall be judged better by audition.

Personally I will prefer to wait for price to touch somewhere near 35,000(only for its highlife LED)
