I wouldn't buy a cd player in this age and time. It is much better to rip your cd into a bit perfect copy on your laptop or PC. And then play it through a streamer with inbuilt dac like the Yamaha wxc50. This will be better sounding than any of the cd players mentioned above.
1. When you spin a cd in a cd player, the laser mechanism can't always read the data in real time if there are even the slightest of scratches. So this data is omitted in the playback, as the cd player has to play in real time. However, when you rip a cd, the laser mechanism goes over the same teach multiple times at its own pace till all the data is read. So this gives you a bit perfect copy.
2. The spinning cd mechanism introduces mechanical vibrations which carry down the chain. A lot of folks use vibration isolators and claim improvements. Why go to all that hassle, when we can play through a non spinning SSD drive.
3. When cd's were first introduced in the 1970's , cd players were simultaneously launched to play them. The tech is almost 40 years old now. There are cd players that cost a fortune because of their superior spinning mechanism, superior laser reading mechanism and error correction, and finally a superior dac. In today's world a 2000 rs cd or DVD drive can do the same. Then why pay for all that legacy tech. Just rip your cd, get a streamer with inbuilt dac + digital out like the Yamaha wxc50 and listen for now. In future when funds permit, add an external dac to improve your sound quality even further.
4. With a cd player you are restricted to playing one cd at a time. And need a dedicated remote control to skip tracks. If you want to change a album, it is a hassle to again get up. Once your cd's are ripped, the wxc-50 comes with the Yamaha music cast app, which will show up all your music collection on your phone or tablet. You can choose whatever you want to play without moving from your listening position.
5. There are lots of good streamers out there. Iam only mentioning the wxc-50 because it is closest to your budget at around 25k.
