hi guys,
In your opinion what would be the cheapest yet acceptable 32 inch LCD tv?

This is for a bedroom viewing purpose (no.. I dont want 26 inch) with mostly DishTV and a little PS3 + DVD thrown in.

I saw the Kenstar LCD TV (24K) and they were pretty much the same when compared to the much more expensive Samsung/LG, etc.

Thanks guys!

24,000 for a 32inch? That is Rs.750 for an inch. What are the specs of the Kenstar TV? The site is not working.

Other brands that may be under 35,000 for a 32 inch will be Moser Baer, Onida, Videocon.

Brands such as Samsung, Akai, Philips, Panasonic, Pioneer etc will be around 40,000 and above.

Cheers

In Mumbai
1) Check AOC in Reliance Digital & Vestar in Kohinoor ,also Vu in croma - price same 25 K
2) Search & search - Samsung & LG changed model lineup but some older generation branded models are available - bluntly ask- get model number and reserch specs - In Sumaria , Vashi Samsung Full HD 42 Inch older generation around 63 -65 K!
3) Check panasonic in vijay sales - they are approching 35 K for 32 Inch

24k for a 32 inch sounds like a great price. If you can get the specs, we can tell you if it looks decent on paper. Samsung and LG 32 inch models (the Samsung 3 series and the LG 30) should be around 35k or even less. The Panasonic LE8 should also be in that same range. It might be best if you can plump up the 35k and go for one of these (avoid the LG) rather than save 10k and get a tin can.

24k for a 32" lcd may be a good price, but before buying please look at the brand image, service and quality, tomorrow god forbids if something goes wrong , you should be able to get a good service ...

The Panasonic LE8 is quoted at Rs.25k in Compareindia.
Is it a good Tv for SD through DTH?
It's decent.
But I felt that for a similar or possibly lesser price the Sharp A37m was better. Of course, I'm don't know if the eZone folks had tweaked any settings.

That is a decent price though you may want to verify whether that price is available in your city. But why should you go for the LE8 which is now aging when you can get the x9D at just Rs. 500/- more?
