Denon 1513 +Soundbar + PC

I see you have mentioned you got Sapphire R390 graphic card on your PC, this has AMD TrueAudio Technology which mean the HDMI out on R390 should be carrying audio information along with video out. Can be easily tested by connecting video terminal with speaker i.e. LCD/LED.

Now if you decide to buy OREI HDA-925, you could connect R390 HDMI out ---> OREI HDMI in ---> OREI HDMI (ARC) --> Computer Monitor & HDMI (audio out) / Optical ---> Polk soundbar. So in this setup i don't see the need for Denon 1513.
Oh great.. It will be really helpful if it can encode all audio from my pc into dolby.. And i hope it has its seperate equalizer..

Not sure of separate equalizer though, however if you look at the product description its state following. Did see some feedback & comments from users who bought this on amazon, looks +ve with regards to Dolby 5.1 channel output as well. But as i said please test R390 HDMI out does it really output audio, then think of buying OREI HDA-925.

But how will i test it?
Monitor hdmi to Gpu Hdmi
Polk Hdmi Arc to which port??

For testing follow below steps

1. R390 HDMI out ---> LG Monitor HDMI in
2. LG Monitor 3.5mm audio out ---> Polk Aux in (use 3.5mm stereo (male-male) connector)

This should tell you if your R390 is outputing audio as well. However with above setup you will not get desired 5.1 output.

Once your sure your getting audio out of R390 with above steps, then invest on buying OREI HDA-925. That will extract the 5.1 which can be feed into Polk via HDMI or optical. Follow below steps once you have bought OREI HDA-925.

1. R390 HDMI out ---> OREI HDMI in
2. OREI HDMI (ARC) --> LG Monitor HDMI in
3. OREI HDMI (audio out) / Optical ---> Polk HDMI / Optical

If your Polk had passthrough HDMI out (unfortunately you don't) in that case you don't need OREI HDA-925 :)
hope it helps

Cheers,
