Hey,

My friend has a Denon X2800, a Klipsch RP 600 II LR, a 500C Centre, and SVS SB 1000 subwoofer yet he still feels a lack of power. Could you please offer a possible cause? Should he upgrade to a better or another brand, or can he install an amplifier (but no pre-out).

I use a Marantz Cinema 60, but I'm new to this hobby, so my thoughts are limited. So, please share the thought/experience.

How far is he sitting from the speakers?
Can't he add a subwoofer instead ?
What's the room size ?
Before spending on anything else we need to make sure that the system has been used to the best of it's potential.

I forget to mention he has SVS subwoofer.
MLP Distance 15 feet
room size 17 *11 feet

Ask him to re run the calibration is a quiet environment.
Other alternate solutions are to turn up individual speaker gain levels on the AMP. As an example, if dialogue is not coming through well, turn it up.
The main issue with most AVR setups is the need to crank up the volume. I need to head into the 70% zone sometimes for the system to wake up. Doing so isn't going to kill the system.
Adjust Dynamic volume to Evening setting. Its a trial. You can always switch back.

Helps to be a little more specific too and what exactly is missing
