I can see there are many people buying projectors specially because the new projectors come in 4000Hour lamps and prices are falling .
There are many things that need money investment and the buyers dont go further , so the dedicated HT room /area remains unfinished.
This thread will help save great money on some of them.
1) Ambilight : light glowing behind the HT screen
its easy just put a led strip , power from SMPS/Linear PSU
1000Rs >option
2) Spotlights :
Adds charm to the HT setup , go for LED based eye types after mounting you can rotate ,many shops in india sale them for 150-200
LED one consume 1 -3W as compared to bulb types 50W.
3) Wall and screen curtains
People who dont have dedicated room, if you have a large hall , get a small area with partition , put velvet like curtains in wavy fashion .
Best material is the cloth used to make sofa , they are cheap as 150/m
real thick and classy .
4) Screen : Laminate diy screen is very good , costs just 10% of commercial ones
5)Artwork :This is copied fom PVR likes , fancy but fun to have , Get few movie posters printed in staples for 20 -50Rs
