DIY MLTL with Markaudio Alpair Fullrange Audio Emitter

That is how MarkAudio has described it....so I thought I will also follow the the same terminology

I clicked on the thread to find out what it meant! And had a treat seeing the pic. What a wonderful result: any chance of work-in-progress pics?

Looks like it is one box with a 'Bass Reflex' Port.

Wonder how it compares with Omega speakers which use similar driver and same (Bass Reflex) topology.

Edit: Sorry for overlooking OP's description of the speaker. I get it that they are Mass Loaded Transmission Line speakers.

Thanks for posting the video! Was nice fun watching and listening to them. Any performance with vocals would also be great. I have heard full rangers excel in mid-range so would be interesting to see how vocals sound.. :)

Watch this to get an idea

Hi Rohit,

The uploading is not yet over. I will post it tomorrow.

Thanks,
Bibin

Thats great!

OT: If you have these then you can try playing "Down the Hole" - John Campbell or "Temptation" by Diana Krall. They have good transients and I guess they will render superbly on this setup :)

Sounding very nice with lots of details. What is the frequency response? How much did the kit cost?

hello Capt. Rajesh,

these drivers are available for about 100 USD a piece for madisound. I think you can also get them from hongkong / china/ Singapore.

I had some discussion with Singapore Dealer, if you want i can introduce you to him.

Congrats Bibin. Really nice work on the cabinets. Was talking to Bijin about it last day and he had a lot of good things to say about it. Should call you guys and come over sometime for a listen.

I've had a relative's Paradigm Studio S60 for some time and though there were good for movies even I didn't like them for music. Blotted base mostly and distorted mid range or atleast on the tracks I played.

I ordered an SEOS kit last day and awaiting delivery. If you guys still have this speaker after I've assembled mine we should try do a comparison. Would be fun.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
