I have a sound card that can upsample upto 96khz. I really like upsampled music which I used to hear on my headphones. Now that I have a setup of marantz 5004 & q acoustics 2020i, I am getting buzzing sound on upsampling. Especially in rock music. Goes away at 44.1khz.
Bummer! I really liked that smoothness.

On another note, the buzzing is there at 44.1khz in really heavy rock. For e.g. in the opening guitar play of the title song of Rock On - Rock On ye hai waqt ka eshara.
Whats the explanation? Im not playing loud, but much lower than amps limits.

There should be No Buzzing when you resample.

I suspect its overload / distortion.

Thanks guys.
I think my sound card might have a defect. This sound used to come from headphones I now remember now that I try to recall.
Thats a big relief.
And start of a search ...
