I have read such good reviews about the Optoma HD141X projector, That makes me feel I should get one from Amazon, But then again the problem of warranty comes in, and with US warranty that would pose a problem here, and more cost!!
But does anyone own a Egate K8 Kandy, Its cheaper and has a 2 year warranty.will be going to see a demo of the same one of these days.
But of course Quality counts,So what do you experts out there have to share and help me decide which bright HD 3D projector to go for to mainly watch Movies and Sports, And of course 3D movies sometime........Does 2 D to 3 D conversion really stand out or its just superficial??

A year back, I had a demo for some highest model (35-40k range) of this brand e**** and it was complete disappointment. I dont feel they stand anywhere close to brands like optoma, acer, benQ etc in terms of color reproduction, brightness/contrast, motion or any damn parameter :-).

Optoma HD141X is a full HD DLP projector opposed to Egate. DLP projectors are much brighter and vibrant than LED ones. I have a HD25e and I vouch for it. You wont regret it if you buy Optoma. Its like watching a big LCD TV

I get the point ....Loud & Clear,No Doubt about it!! ....HD 141 X is definitely the better option, but I see it only has HDMI and USB inputs. I was also looking at the BenQ w1070 which even have VGA and comosite video signal input besides HDMI and USB
The BenQ W1070 is available in the indian market here in Mumbai rate is around 90000/- but if purchased online from Amazon its working to around a little less than 58000/- ,But what about warranty???
I read somewhere in this forum that the Optoma HD141X has similar features to the W 1070 but I would like to connect my PC with VGA output as of now which is available on W1070

In that case, you need to go for Benq. BTW i thought DVI is more common now days than VGA and almost all laptops come with HDMI. Is your PC an old one

Well After lots of yes-no, I finally purchased the 720p Epson EH-TW550 projector in the computer market for 49000/- with 2 years warranty here in India itself, I was earlier looking at EH TW5200 which has a 1080p resolution, but then again there is a 20000 difference between the 2 Epson models, and as for me I would not be able to distinguish between 720p and 1080p picture quality.
As for now, I am connecting my old faithful Core 2 Duo desktop by VGA to the Epson EH TW550 and am happy with the clear good colour picture of 720p movies downloaded from the net, will later go in for a HDMI media player.
Not using a real projector screen as of yet, but using a white matt material, its only issue is its width is only 5 feet, Its not flex which is used in advertising, but is smooth on one side and rough on the other side, I use the rough full white side
As this is a short throw projector at a distance of 10.5 feet I get a little more than 7 feet wide screen and the EH TW550 being a 3000 lumen projector its image is bright and hence no need to even dim the lights.
We all at home enjoyed watching Friday /Saturday night movies in big screen.
Man on Fire slotted for Friday Night was continued on Saturday morning at 10 o-clock being a over 2hour movie, and the movie was still engrossing even though it was day light. Saturday night movie was Poltergeist !!!
A real Cinema at home. WOW!
After sales service of Epson is excellent. Thank you to all those who helped me decide to go in for a lamp projector over the LED ones, Of course I did see the Merlin pocket projector with 3d, It was quite bright too, but did not find much about it online and I guess the after sale service would be poor.
