I had requested for ESPN HD via their website. The cc guy told me that they are working on it and it will added soon. I would request all the TS subscribers to pitch in and send a mail to cc regarding ESPN HD (i.e. only if you are interested)

This is no-hope. The TataSky CEO has already mentioned in the press that there are no more HD channels till new TP is acquired possibly through GSAT-10 in 2012. So, Get rid of TataSky and get a new other service.

i got TS. was really looking forward to see F1 in HD. 
1. So at this point in time which service provider has most HD channels ?
2. Which service provider looks promising to include maximum HD channels in the near/immediate future ?

I think Both star sports SD and ESPN HD will broadcast the F1.
as per ESPN HD advt in the Start Cricket HD, F1 live broad cast will be there in the ESPN HD.
So no doubt star sports SD and ESPN HD will broadcast the F1
thats nice, so espn hd will be event based or 24hrs HD sports channel??

If they had to choose one between Star Cricket HD and ESPN HD, they should have picked ESPN HD for the simple fact that it would show much wider variety of Sports in HD...!!
There are people in India who follow a lot of sports other than Cricket.

1. The ad clearly states 24 x 7 channels.
The one thing that has impressed me about the Airtel and the Sun HD boxes which I have is that I just pay online and they get activated. When I stop paying, they do not work anymore. My point is that re-activation is very easy. That is the way it should be.
Now that ESPN HD and Star Cricket HD are not there in these two channels, I am thinking of adding a Videocon box to the mix. Almost the only channels I will see in HD are the sports channels, hopefully we will get the World series and NFL in HD at some stage! (One can dream, you know).
The Videocon site seems to work better than the other sites.
I called up Airtel and they said that they would be starting these two channels shortly. Guess I will renew my subscription only after they start them.
