Saw STAR CRICKET HD yesterday in TS.Clarity is good, but there is no content right now other than WC2011 highlights, F1 and Moto Gp ads.Well TS not broadcasting ESPN HD and broadcasting STAR PLUS HD and STAR GOLD HD is a Joke:lol:.Waste of BW for sure.Hope TS starts listening to Sports enthusiasts like us fast or else there will be lot of people Jumping to D2H.
By the way Can some one confirm the total HD channels in D2h and the cost for it?

Wait after the ind vs England series they may replace Start cricket HD with ESPN HD.

In my personnel view there is no need of TWO HD sports channel at same time.

I have the Annual Mega Pack subscription on the TS HD and it has 2 months left on it. So it will get over on 30th September. If by then TS does not activate ESPN HD then i will not renew my subscription and instead go for Videocon D2H.

I was also comparing the no of HD channels of different service providers on their website and it seems that D2H has the highest no. of Asli HD channels.

They have all the HD channels that TS HD has and on top of that they have Movies Now HD and ESPN HD. :clapping:

I moved from Airtel HD to Tata sky HD as on Airtel no HD of Star cricket.Add to that the Airtel EPG was having quite a few issues.
Tata Sky all the dealings went very smooth including the installation,all done in 24 hours.
Not a big fan of F1 so not too fond of ESPN .cheers

just sharing my happiness here! No confirmation though.

TataSky are compressing the HD signals to 4.6 MBps for the past 3 days. This was for testing of space for another HD. Did you notice any quality deterioriation in existing HD channels for the past 3 days. If not, then you will not notice in future also. 36 Mhz TP, they wish to provide 8th HD channel. Perfectly doable, if you ask me. Optimum is 5 MBps based on international practice, but they will be slightly less than optimum.

The news coming in is that ESPN HD is scheduled to be launched on 29th July on TS.

29th would be perfect for the F1 weekend!

I hope Airtel starts offering ESPN in HD! Really want to see F1 in HD. Downloading and watching is really becoming a pain with Fair Usage Policies of Airtel!

Airtel CC is saying they will be added soon. They said the same thing regarding the Asli HD star channels. That took over 3-4months!

Well, I just upgraded TS SD to HD...disappointed now that I can't see F1 in HD...

The engineer who came for installation was saying that they are getting few more channels added in Sep '11...hope its true...

i'm watching Star Cricket HD and they keep showing ads for ESPN HD with Formula 1, Premier League, Golf and Grand Slam Tennis etc... This is getting pretty frustrating. I'm on TS HD and right now there are no signs of ESPN HD becoming activated.

I'm sure a lot of people not on Videocon D2H must be wondering what to do ? My Annual TS HD Mega pack subscription gets over in 2 months time in september end. I'll wait till then. If ESPN HD is not activated i'll be forced to buy D2H.

I will also join the bandwagon and leave for d2h. This is getting pretty frustrating that TS does not pay heed to add the popular channels (there must be at least several who have mailed / spoken / on social networking to Tata Sky regarding the same)
