I've read about the eZone sale for 2 days (Sat/Sun). The sale is going to start at midnight on 11th. They have advertised that because of the high inventory that they are carrying, which they want to get rid of, they'll offer all products at their cost price.

Wanted to know if they carry any A/V receivers + Speaker package whose price point I should look out for e.g. if it's less than INR x.xx, then it's a super good deal.

In some E-Zone outlets, there is a specialised demo room for HT's. Jamo, Denon, Sherwood, Klipsch, Onkyo. Worth exploring if they are offering these...

Yeah, the outlet at Central at Tardeo have 5 or 6 demo rooms on an upper floor. They also have Wharfies, Energy, Mission, Yamaha, Sonodyne. Receivers and speakers.

Happy shopping! I'll definitely be dropping by :)

This thing whole thing is looking like a joke to me. I mean check the prices on their websites for different items and you'll see that there is not much difference then the bargain prices of Devi Intl or any other outlets.
For example,
Sony S370 - Ezone Zero margin(ZM) price is Rs. 9790. And the same is available at any other shope.
HTC Legend - Ezone ZM price is Rs. 24,370 whereas at sangeetha it's 22.7k.
Panasonic 42C10 - EZ ZM price is Rs. 38.5k whereas you can get 42X10 itself for 38k now.

So much for so called Zero margin sale. I would say stay away or atleast check the market price first and then buy.

I saw the price of Onkyo 6200 yesterday on their website. It was Rs.48,990/- and today it is 39990/-.

Free shipping both days. How is this offer ? Should I go for it ?

Onkyo s6200 has been selling in between 43-46k all over India in the last 2 months ...hence 40k looks to be the best deal so far unless anyone else has got it for lesser ;)

Went last night to the e-zone in navi mumbai @ 2250 hrs & guess what they were about to close!!! apparently they did not get permission to host the all night sale from the 'authorities', so with me & a couple of other customers still inside the shop, @ precisely 2315 hours the shop blacked out all lights, switched off the escalators & expected the customers to find a way out in the dark without the courtesy of using the escalators & having to walk down 2 floors in darkness, so much for their customer care..... anyway all the supposed zero margin offers were bogus/not worth it. This 'ezone' zero margin is just another gimmick, like all the others of the 'future' group.... bloody scamsters:mad:

I don't think they've quite grasped the concept of zero. Or their "margin for error" is pretty big!

I was comparing prices today... leaning towards LCD again, instead of plasma.

Samsung 40C530 LCD: E-Zone = 53400 (zero margin, no bargaining), Vijay Sales = 54000 (list), 50000 (negotiated)

Panasonic 42" X20 Plasma: E-Zone = 41900 (zero margin), Vijay Sales = 41900 (list)

Where's the party? Not at E-Zone, that's for sure! The fairly large crowd I saw when I walked in had all but vanished by the time I left.

for values of "zero" from 1 to n

;)

I can't understand what these big outlets are doing even selling at list prices. The only reason, in UK, that we go to such outlets is to get stuff cheap.

It's true, though, that there are some manufacturers who continue to break the UK law by imposing minimum sale prices on their retailers.

Ezone @Pune Central -Bund Garden Road is currently going under change over. You won't find any sale there for sure. Not sure about University road. Check out at Chinchwad or Ishanya Mall only.

damn! I went to home town yesterday around 8pm and they said they don't know what is there on offer, the list will come late night. Thought of going there early morning today, but then gave it a skip.

I went to the eZone near E-Square in Pune to check out the Sonodyne floorstanders, but unfortunately they were having only an Onkyo, a Denon and a Sensei (Mumbai based brand) HT system on display. These products were lying there from the day they have opened the mall. So, the eZone Sale was a marketing gimmick to clear off their old stock demo products.
