Everyone prefers some color or the other as a wise man told us at the meet (you know who you are sir) but overall I'll be happy to own the Emotiva.

I had to leave early so I could not enjoy all the tests.

Anyways, my experience only reinforced the conclusion I came to at last year's meet:-

Work out your budget & stick with it. Determine your listening tastes & create your test music. Buy the amp first. Then hunt around for the speaker that u feel gives u the best sound. Spend the max. amount on the speakers.

My problem is that the Phillips HiQ speakers (single paper cone low tech) I have are so good that I need to budget 60K+ to get anthing close to them. So I will be going in for only the amp now. Will concentrate more on expanding the collection of music & more importantly getting time to listen to it.

Denom you did a marvellous job of compilation. May u go from strength to strength ( in writing & not in the alcohol proof!!).

U opened it anytime? does it have any crossover

I am asking as I have the 8 inch drivers. also I got cabinets NOS from Mumbai ( as claimed by seller) now I want to check whether these are "the" real cabinets for these speakers

It is a plain paper cone single driver. If I remember rightly it is 8" size. No crossover or anything fancy. Box is plywood. The internal wiring was pretty pathetic. So I got the same upgraded & made provision for connectors at the rear. Do you need any further info?
