Hi, this might be the lowest budget in the forum:sad: , but I'm no THX certified professional or a audio guy.

I simply watch BluRay movies, need some good loud sound, which we can even use for outdoor small parties, wedding sangeet events, etc and DJ dance floor.

Let me know, what you guys suggest.

I got an option from an old thread, HTP-RS42 | Pioneer

But Im not sure and Im looking forward for your individual suggestions, what to go for. :clapping:

I'm not your kind, who understands so much about Hifi, so suggest me something all in one.

okay then

demo denon 1312xp/yamaha 296/onkyo 3400..

all within 34k range.u are located at bhubanewser you have to come to kolkata for demo.5 hours journey.not a problem.if i will be free i will also join you.

I would love it, if you can accompany and help me with the purchase. Please PM me your number so can add to my whatsapp.

ya i will send.and wait till durga puja mid october..you will get much offers.also in the mean time check for the above models in your city.if got...buy it.

Yes, I will buy the LED and the hifi during Durga Puja only.

And in my city, people have no idea about Hifi. Everyone buys the Home theater systems from Sony only.

Well, then lets discuss what we are getting or want to have a demo.

So, the requirement is 5.1 system with a amplifier and budget is 50k .

Lets start, what you got to suggest by model or name, so I can check.

I was checking this.

Pioneer HTP-RS42

Well, Sony HT-M5 says 1580W total output and you said, Pioneer one is total 700W .

So, does that mean, HT-M5 sounds more and better ?

More watt is more sound or whats it all about ?

Ahhhhhhh ,

Denon DHT1312xp package

Says 3.2 lacs ?????

where are you checking.........its 34k only...

and above 1 lakh budget you must go for a full hd projector...or high end plasma panles from panasonic..nothing else.you visit yoyur citys panasonic showroom and check led and plasmas side by side...then you will understand the beuty of plasmas.......
yah projectors are not suitable for reguler tv watch..then you can buy a 32 inch sdemi hd for reguler tv watch and a projector for occassional movie watch.dont worry the bulb will last 10 years for 2 movies a week

http://www.profx.com/denon_hometheatresystems.asp

or high end plasmas.....dont just go by my words...experiment your self and trust your eyes only

My bedroom has less space and dont have a room for making a dedicated theater room, since I hardly watch 3 movies in a month or so.

Mostly will be used for TV , cricket, games and music. Im a music lover.

Well, can you check the comparison betwee,

HTP-RS42 | Pioneer

and

HTP-RS32 | Pioneer

in true audio system sony doesnt stand a chance...forget sony.
yes pioneer is good brand.
at 50k budget you can also buy

polk Tsi 200 @16k boookshelf and a denon 1612 at 32k....and a polk cs 20 centre if possible...

buy sub, surround later...and centre is not in first shot.

separte is always a winner than htib combo.if want them all at a time denon 1312xp....is your choice.yamaha 296 is also good.

checked the pioneer models....they seem good.always and undoudbetly a winner than sony.but its avr shows 190 watts only.very low.my onkyo 3400 even has 390 watts.so better to avoid it.

you go for denon 1312xp at much less price.or go separate way

but at higher budget separate is always a winner remember also.
because good avr makers like pioneer/denon/onkyo/yamaha/marantz sadly dont make good speakers.that is why audio lovers go separate way and buy avr a compnay and speaker different company.

Hi, this might be the lowest budget in the forum:sad: ,

There is nothing like low or high budget in this forum... 50K is a very good budget to start with...We can find products @ any given budget....Depends on what you can afford now, whether you are willing to spend as & when your budget allows.

I have upgraded from 2 HTIB's & building my stereo/HT System in stages. If you want best bang for money, separates components are the way to go than the HTIB's.

I would like to recommend few options for you here.

Option 1 :

If you are not willing to spend more than 50K, then HTIB are the best bet.

Option 2 :

If you like to build HT systems & are tight on budget, you will need to build them step by step. First get a new receiver & then front speakers, later add one by one.

Option 3 :

If you buy any new amplifier, it will eat more than 50% of your budget. Take the used route if you are open to it. Get an used receiver for 10 - 15K & then go for the most affordable speakers within your budget.

Look out for Sonodyne from India (Kolkatta based company). You can try the Sonus range BS 1501 for (10K), center speaker for C2401 (6K) + Rear surrounds (Dipole speakers for 10K) + Roarr series sub for 12 - 15K. Also there might be good discount from Sonodyne during Durga Pooja festival days..

So what you get for Approx 50K WILL be far better than any HTIB...

There are also speakers from other brands wharfedale diamond's, PSB Alpha series, Polk Audio TSi range... But you might have to spend more ...

Take your time, TRY listening to each one of them and let us know what you liked...

Happy Hunting

+1 to above......
sonodyne(sorry I completly forgot to mention)..yes its also your choice....sonodyne listning rooms keep denon so you can easily experiment.....

Yes, since Im not much into all these stuff, I would like to get a HTIB and stay happy. My usage is very less actually.

So it should be :

HTP-RS42 | Pioneer

or

HTP-RS32 | Pioneer

Try to audition many brands HTIB's (Onkyo / Denon/Yamaha & others if any) before you decide....Plz plan an audition in your nearest place....Also consider Onkyo HTIB's... They offer very good value for money....They have many HTIB models for your budget.

The reason for recommending Onkyo is, they also have service center in every big city....Juz in case if there are any problems in the future, you don't have to worry.

I am little confused about the 190 watt power handling of the avr of the pioneer you mentioned..otherwise it is written 100 watt at one channel single channel driven.it is less powerfull even from onkyo 3400.where it is written 120 watt at a channel single channel driven.and 65watt at 2 chaennels simultaneously.

so buy deonon 1312xp/onkyo 3400/3500 or yamaha 296.......they are all htib as per your need..no separate.

but also think of the combo i pmed you.

I see a lot of threads suggest denon 1312xp .

Well, they dont come with big sub woofers and floor stand speakers.

What extra do I need to buy with denon 1312xp , which would easily get connected to the AVR and play at full power ?

So, how much extra for the extra components apart from Denon 1312xp or 1612 .

==================

Sorry, another doubt.
This is 5.1 system , right and it already comes with some small speakers and one sub woofer. So , does that mean, when we buy other speakers , those box speakers would go useless ?

We cant connect al the speakers or use them ?

big sub looks doesnt mean big sound....see avr power handling always.and avr shd me enough powerfull to handle proper florrstanders.dont go by looks.hear them.

2nd doubt-i meant 1312xp which is a full package.no need to buy any extra speaker.

and separete way is denon 1612 avr only and polk /sonodyne/wharf speakers.

by the way denon 1312(the avr comes with 1312xp package is sold separatle also)

may be thats why you are cofused.

Ok so 1612 AVR , and then we need 5 speakers.

2 floor stands, one center, 2 sub woofers. Right ?

How much extra ?
