Thanks kittu for the link. The product description says it supports DTS and Dolby HD audio. It has networking but no wifi.Android 2.2 Media Player Box (Full HD 1080P)

Android 2.2 media player has no built in 3.5" hdd bay. It supports only external HDD upto 500GB.

WDTV Live Hub 1TB is available for Rs. 9.9K from delta. Is it a good buy? Does it pass through hd audio?

I would still prefer a kaiboer over WD . K360i model is available for 7250/- , add internal harddisk 1tb for 2000Rs. You have a fully loaded media player with wifi and can decode all hd audio formats.

yes 360I is a better buy than this the 500 GB limitation the USB it self is down plus there is no reviews on it on the net so dont know the performance of it either......

The Android media player is using VIA 8650 800MHZ CPU 300 MHZ DSP, DDR2 - 256MB

on the net this is usually used with touch pads.....nd ppl are complaing about lagging...

but no reviews of it so we dnt if it lags on this or not.....

wd tv live hub itself costs 9.5k along with 1tb laptop hdd which will only add capacity and not weight...

I think Sigma based players are always best. Kaiboer has a powerful player of chipset sigma 8643. and is available for 12K @ Digitalbay| HDMI| HD Media player| HDMI Splitter| Digtal Bay

Few months back the same device is quoted for 14K here. now it is reduced by 2K.

Thats a good info. Please update when it becomes available. Also try to get a group buy offer. There are many here looking for this player.
