Some practical difficulty I am facing soldering decoupling capacitors with as short legs as possible near the op-amp legs. The first problem is the location of the power pins (pin 4 and pin 7) which happen to be diagonally opposite. I was wondering on the wrong design and I stumble upon this good document from TI. No solution in sight other than to have one long leg or design a good dual soic to dip pcb with good ground plane and via to take the ground leg of the capacitor to the other side on the ground plane.

BTW I ordered few lme49990 from element14 (kits and spare) and RS components one day later (last week). The lme49990 already arrived yesterday and good regular communication from RS components - RS Components - Electronics, MRO, Automation & Control Component Distributor

Those are more relevant design considerations for RF industry. Good to know.
