Guys,

Budget is 25 - 40k
I want to enjoy south indian music. AR rahman type.

Here are the options i am currently considering.

1. Onkyo 3500
2. Yamaha 298
3. Poineer rs 32. (Tower)

tower speakers look awesome.
Please advice.

If you can stretch your budget- For Music I would look at Paradigm Cinema 100 CT v4 (5.1 system) Speakers with Denon AVR 1513 Receiver-- It is an excellent starter system

whats the cost of it?
where can i audition it in bangalore?

And its satellite speakers right? wouldnt i be better to go for tower speakers at that budget

It will run you around Rs 80,000

IMHO- Good sounding Floor Standing speakers will cost you a lot more

Check out Rontek Systems at +919845047290

Start with the Front- Left and Right speakers-- With a A/V Receiver--

You can always add the Center, Surround and Sub later- as your budget allows

Agreed.
I started with denon 1312 with wharfedale diamond 10.2. it was basic stereo sys hooked to tv , asus media player. Later subwoofer was added. finaly yamaha centre and surround were added.
i am enjoying music as well as movies.
hope to own a dedicated stereo sys in future.

Suggest you to look for energy take classic, it has got lots of positive reviews, i guess for your budget it should work well.

If you prefer music then Yamaha 373 and Polk TSi 200, later when your budget will permit add a centre channel and surrounds subwoofer. Trust me this will be the best way.
Otherwise you can try Wharfedale MS 100 HCP and Denon 1315 / Marantz receiver.
I have Wharfedale MS 100 HCP and found them to be very musical as compared to other HT package.
