ICE upgrade for Renault Duster

Hi Friends,

Just got my Duster delivered a week back. Stock speakers are horrible. Can someone please suggest good speakers for max 8-10k.. I've no clue if I need 4 new speakers with sub and amp or just 2 good speakers would do...

I just need good all range sound with decent bass for my enjoyment, not interested in making people outside my Duster enjoy the boom... I dont like that high bass where the music gets lost...

e.g. I find my Honda City(2009 model) stock speakers quite decent with ok bass, but looking at something much better than that after spending 10k... Not sure if I've been able to communicate my expected satisfaction level...

How are JBL GTO 949/959? Read somewhere you dont need a subwoofer as they provide decent bass. Would I require tweeters with that, honestly dont even know what tweeters are.

Since you have a budget of 8-10k you should primarily focus on getting just 4 speakers, a woofer and an amplifier will cost more than that.

I would suggest these 2. The one for the front is a component set so that if you want to upgrade to a woofer in the future you dont need to change the front speakers.

Thanks a lot. I think my budget would go up slightly as I intend to put gto 949 as rear speakers in expectation of higher bass. Hope stock HU would be capable of driving this.

Your stock head unit will be able to drive these speakers but it won't do full justice to the speakers' potential. With your current budget you won't be able to accommodate a sub but plan to add it in future and they'll sound 'much' better.

That's a decent setup madhur. The Duster's HU is going to be your weakest link though.
