Is it time to do another workshop in Bangalore?

Pandam Audio expressed their inability to join because of some prior commitments but Prashant said he would plan to have an event with us at a later date. In any case with three commercial exhibitors we will need to plan what is the best format to employ, perhaps we can take a leaf out of our friends in Madras, and find a place with three listening rooms.
In case anyone has any thoughts please share your thoughts.

We now have in principle interest from three -Acoustic Portrait, Audio People and Analogue Audio Labs, so once Santhosh is free towards the later part of this week, we will figure out how to take things forward.

I dont know who in Bangalore has the Cadence speakers and willing to spare them for the event.

Hi Mr George, i have someone with ARISTAs in Bangalore...shall arrange them to bring it....so that problem solved!

Spoke with Audio People. They are very keen to participate and also part sponsor the meet.

Equipment that could be displayed by Audio People includes the following brands depending on the size of the venue and listening preferences of the members.

Pathos amplifiers
MBL amplifiers and speakers
Acapella speakers
Avalon speakers
Thiel speakers

They are keep to showcase Pathos. Organisers and Members can post their preferences keeping the venue and listening preferences so that equipment can be finalised.

Good news about the speakers, we will take you up on that. Santhosh is going to be free over the weekend, so I will talk to him about various options re the venue, along with John. Anutone's main room is on the second or third floor and there is no lift, so taking anything heavy up to or three flights is a problem.

Thanks for organizing. I am keen on hearing the radialstrahlers from MBL as that would be a special treat. I used to have the ACapella Violin II speakers at one point (they are up to Mk VI now, I believe)....the plasma tweeters are mesmerizing.

George,

I would love to be a part of this meet. Would like to see Antony presenting a review of various Design Software and Speaker measurement techniques.

Cheers!

Jayant

Hi Jayant

I think this session is not going to be a diy workshop, like the previous ones, because we have an opportunity for a change to have some commercial exhibitors. With three of them and to create an opportunity for everyone to audition, I think we will need to change the earlier format. I trust you understand.

Let's see what best we can devise.

GeorgeO,

My local jothshi said, I have Travel(s) on my card during these days.
Lets see , if I can prove him wrong.

Count me in too...I have only recently started listening to a dedicated stereo setup. I would love to see a practical demo session explaining how to separate the high, medium, low frequency sounds. I hear these terms a lot in reviews, but I have no practical idea about how to separate them. Or am I asking for too much ? :p

The date is fixed -Sunday April 28th, we need to figure out the format, hopefully can have that firmed up this coming week.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
