Dayumn, Am I excited!
Been looking forward to meeting Suri and Rallynut for a long long time!
Not to forget the temptation of the Witches.
As of now, I am ready to pack my laptop and head to the railway station to catch a train to Kannur.
HFV Kannur meet up, quite nice to type that here.
Thanks all.

Have Fun guys!! I hope to make it to the next Kannur HFV meet along with Stevieboy, kaushik and anyone else who interested.

@suri,..'ella saathanum kayil undallo??'.ha ha.see u tom asap.will call before leaving.cheers

am betting with the witches in action they won't need to booze to be under a spell...

true stevie, true.even so,with a dollop of 'The Dalmore-a 12 yr old highand single malt',am sure the spell would be even more binding....:indifferent14:.cheers

I suspect after an hour of getting together, these guys won't be ables to differentiate between the sound of a drum and that of a flute. One top of that, they are going to be be'witched' all the time. :) Sigh!!

Cheers

LOL , Venkat your timing joke made my stomach ache. Lets see their review of the product they are going to audition.
BTW Best of luck for all the three. A great meet at Gods own Country.

I am almost there! Thank you Indian Railways.
Wow, not very good at Geography. How far (in hours) did you have to travel?

Since we are on the topic of booze, did you know that Mahe(Pondicherry) is very close to Kannur. I am not drunk while typing this, rest of Pondi is where it is , just one town/district - Mahe is in Kerala. I was shocked to see this when I had been to attend a friend's marriage in Kannur. You get everything there at a lower price, especially liquor. Mahe has more liquor shops than anything else. Not sure if you can carry with you by train etc, so do check that.

You can add me too to that club! I had hoped to doa trip there on my recent road trip along the West Coast highway, but did Goa, Gokarna, Coondapura instead. So the southern part of that highway, upto Kannur/Calicut is still pending.

Santhol,
Cochin-Kannur is almost 7 hours by train. I took the Malabar Express.
Yes I did pass Mahe Railway station just before reaching Kannur. The price difference is just too much! Its not just the UT', Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are far more cheaper when it comes to booze. But again, not much boozing in the days leading up to Easter, so thats moot.

hi all,

absolutely no boozing allowed till the day is done and the work is behind us-

alcohol blunts the senses - and the participants need to be alive, with their senses honed, to drive the witches (to their death?)

perhaps, when the day is done...?

Enjoy guys...when i read the thread heading - i was wondering if kannur has enough hifi enthusiast to become a hifiv hub... anyways one suri is enough :)

carrying liquor from bangalore is also a cheaper option.. prices in kerala are too high.
cheers//
