Hi,
The GEC TT21 is the military version of the KT88.If one can find them at reasonable prices they are a good alternative for the GEC Kt88.
It is similar to the KT88,with the difference being that it has a top connected anode. A very easy modification if one wants to use these tubes.It can also handle 1000 volts.
The sonics are supposed to be as good if not better than the KT 88 tubes.
