cirlinca is oft mentioned as a good software to burn hi res on to a DVD. This should be playable on any DVD player. I suppose a BD player should also be able to play it.

Thanks. Will do that and will let you know the results.

My AVR is Denon 3803 with 7.1 analogue in and out. No HDMI.

As mentioned by other FM's earlier, unless your FLAC's are 16 bit 44.1hz you can't use the resultant decoded WAV for CD playback. So you are no go with HiRes FLAC's using this method.

MediaCoder supports sampling rate change during format conversion. For example, if you want to convert a 24/96 .flac file to .wav for burning to audio CD, during conversion from .flac to .wav, select sample rate to 44.1 kHz and format to PCM (it automatically selects 16 bit). The resultant .wav file is ready to be burned as audio CD.

I would prefer the Studio master FLAC versions with the sleeves.

I've downloaded the first three. May be someone can download 4, 5 & 6 and so on. We can then all share the tracks.

I was just thinking which would be the best place to download them all in one go?

The dropbox seems to have a 2gb limit and now my total stands at 3.25gb (It also includes an album by Nine Inch Nails which I also plan to upload as an new year gift for our FMs).

Any ideas?

My DropBox has ample space (50 GB) and according to this (User Guide to Dropbox Shared Folders) if I share my folder you can also add files to it... so lets give that a try. I'll share a folder within my DropBox (Linn) with you... please PM me your email. The missing files will be in in that folder.

Please check if you can add files to that folder and if so then its a simple matter of sharing the links to that folder with everyone.

Just wondering, has everyone downloaded only the hi res versions or have some people got the CD or mp3 versions too?

I have downloaded all FLAC & mp3 versions available except for day 15 (Knecht) and day 23 (Bluebell). Got the hi res version from technobhatt for day 15.
Waiting for Vinod's green siganl for day 23! So nice of him.

Downloaded the CD versions for writing to CD and the 320 kbps for the iPod rather than go through the conversion route.

Some of the Samsung Galaxy phones automatically give you upgrade to 50 GB but I believe it is for limited period. Do correct me if I am wrong.

My drop box has reached it's 2GB limit. I am trying to register at a site (mega) recommended by technobhatt to see if I can upload in one go.

Will keep you guys updated. I have also PMed Musicbee and let us see, if he can work something out.

IMO it's best to have the HiRes version first... later we can change it to any other format easily.
Likewise I had downloaded many WAV and FLAC earlier and have converted those files to 320 Kbps easily with Any Audio Converter (for my friends' iPod & other portable players). This software has options to convert music files to any format with all sort of frequency/sample rate/bit rate options.

Yup, that's for 2 years only. That's how I got 50+ GB on DropBox myself.

I also got the Moto X, which gave me an additional 50 GB of Google Drive for 2 years.

However, I don't really store stuff in them... they are very useful for uploading photos and videos shot on the camera phone or tablet/phablet and that saves me the trouble of connecting the mobile or tablet to the PC and transferring contents to the PC.

BTW the 2 GB limit is for your DropBox and its filled because you are downloading the same Linn files again to your folder/system. You can simply unlink that folder to not download the contents.

The upload however is to my DropBox folder (53 GB) and that will not run out of space.
