Moral of the story: bullshit works![]()
24 lakhs for a pair of bookshelves.. quite a passion you got there (and wallet!)
If you have a 'good room' then 50 % of the Battle is won !! Krishna is on your side - so to speak....
Hey...how did the Allnic home demo go??? I heard them some time back and it was one of the best that I've heard (though I haven't really heard a lot of true hi-end).
They are insanely priced but 250K INR seems a fair price while still remaining waaaaaay out of my reach...
Well I shall try;
I will start with the assumption that we like art & that we have some art works in our house; This is a pretext we need to start with.....
So, every day we get up & see / look / admire the art that we have on our walls.
This is 'ours' & so we see it - hopefully like it [relate this to out own audio set up @ our house]
Then we do go to art exhibitions / shows / galleries etc. Some times - at least I do.
Here we see art that does not belong to us - yet, some of it we like, some we do not, some is good to see & some is absurd.
This I relate to as an audio show room - dealer place.
Commercial - for sale - i.e.
Then there are 'museums'
These are places we do visit - some times.
Here we see art works by Raza / Sabawalla / Anjolie Ela Menon / Hussain / Souza etc.
These we cannot [at least I cannot buy] buy, but I still do try and go [visit] so that I can see. Try to appreciate - widen my horizon etc.
This I relate to 'esoteric' audio systems.
We can listen & try to understand & appreciate.
We may never own this - but the pleasure of listening can always be had.
Thereafter, I come home & see the art on my walls & appreciate it for what it is - I cannot buy any of the esoteric art works, but that does not mean that I should not experience it......
This is all I want to put across.
Live in a 1BHK Flat, but do visit a palace / mansion etc.
Appreciate what you see.
Take it in your senses.
Learn from it.
Aspire for it - some day - if God wills it - may come your way.
If it does not, you still have your 1BHK Flat to revert to - I know I do [I live in a 400 sq. ft. house - just to let you know] !!!
So as far as possible, 'experience' what ever comes your way;
That is the only way to 'grow' in life.
See / Listen / Touch etc. what ever you can - ownership is not important - experience the good things - that way you will grow an an individual...

First thing first - Kudos to such a great set up!
I would contact you with more concrete proposal for a meetup!
Hope I get the opportunity!
Sir,
You stay in ND / Gurgaon [I think]
1 of my 'older' speakers - Resurrection - just got installed there - 'Malvai'
Do make that trip - go and listen. Maybe you like what you listen to - maybe you do not - but at least you will get some idea of what I like & how I like to listen to music - so an impression / idea of what the Tidal Amea Diacera can do ? The price for a B/S is crazy - I would call it stupid - but what can be done - the Tweeters alone are listed @ 4.5/-K Euro a piece & no one else in the world uses a 30MM T & P Accuton Diamond Tweeter - same reason - cost; Hance the 'mad' price for this B/S Speaker....

The price may be crazy but everyone has a passion. It's cars for some people, travelling for others, speakers for you. I know if I had the money and had a passion for something and it needed money I would definitely go all the way. :licklips:
There are far worse ways of enjoying wealth!... speakers for you. I know if I had the money and had a passion for something and it needed money I would definitely go all the way.
Sir,
Thank you;
My doors are always open.
When ever you are in Mumbai & are up for some music & malt - do call on me. It will be nice to meet up.
Do p.m. me or mail me.

Sir,
The dCS Scarlatti is THE BEST DIGITAL FRONT END in the world that I have ever heard - auditioned. Nothing is better to my ears.
That being stated, I find it to be 'too expensive' !
It is a super front end for someone that has a super room [big] & super gear [speaker & amplifier] to use the dCS Scarlatti with.
In my case, both were not present, so the dCS was an 'overkill' [choice of better words] therefore I sold it. Substantial Discount was offered - 65 % on International Suggested Retail Price & I gave all Cables with the sale. 13944 / BNC to BNC / SPDIF to SPDIF / Power Cords etc.
I will 100 % miss the dCS Scarlatti - it was a super product & served me well.
