Thanks for the suggestions! I did not add a lot of context behind my decisions because I didnt think it was necessary.
Probably more DIY but mainly because of budget reasons
> 1. Replace wharfedale system with proper bookshelf or floorstanders package like mission or q acoustics as your room is big enough for higher spl levels than what you get from satellite system. Mission package from hifimart is priced just 10K higher than the satellite system.
Thanks, my reasoning for wharfedale system is basically cuz we generally don't keep the volume too high, but that said, the Mission LX4 package does look considerably better for 10k difference.
But one of the reasons I didn't go for floor standing speakers because this room will also have a server rack, a wall covered with bookshelves (bonus acoustic treatment from this maybe?).
So Satellite speakers can be mounted easily at the TV wall.
I will keep this in my mind if it looks like it can be accommodated.
> 2. 5.1.4 is more than enough for your rooms depth as they are not deep enough to need additional back surrounds.
Yeah, I would first be upgrading from 5.1.2 to 5.1.4 over time as I get the budget to do so, hence the choice of investing in x3800h (over x1800h or x2800h which would be considerably cheaper), and comes with an added bonus of 7.1.4 support if I ever need.
> 3. marantz avr if you are more into music. There is Anthem and JBL AVRs available in the market. For some reasons, my eye seems catch a lot of issues with denon (updates, HDMI).
For music, I prefer a simple good stereo system in my room over listening in the HT room. I will be using the HT room for movies tv and gaming, and I believe for 5.1.4 and above I'll need to go with marantz cinema 50s which is a lot more expensive than the denon. So unfortunately I dont think I can go for marantz.
> 1. The room is wide and would allow you to go for 75 inches TV or even 150 inches screen + projector. Why not?

Yes, the TCL C8K 75inch is in my consideration, its just I am not too confident about the after-sales service and support of TCL in my city , but we have good contacts for Sony here.
Did not go for a projector because 1) Gaming and 2) AndroidTV Apps like Jellyfin etc.
> 2. Subwoofer is huge x factor in HT experience. If you have budget, you should consider going for serious subwoofers and remove the Subwoofer offered as part of package.
Read a lot about SVS Subs here, but honestly did not research more about this. For some weird reason heavy bass give me anxiety lol, so I wanted to check for myself how they sound which is why I wanted to know any local places in bangalore where I can experience it.
> 3. Factor in budget for good speaker cables, stands or wall mount.
> 4. If it is a new house under construction, draw a separate power supply line and earthing from mains for this HT room.
> 5. Good rug for the floor.
> 6. Paints, furniture and furnishings, if it is a dedicated HT room.
Yes definitely, we have specifically added provision for this and had it isolated from other electric wires, HT room is in its own dedicated circuit and ground.
We will also be using those black acoustic treated false-ceiling panels and few acoustic wall panels as well, (Open to some suggestions here, I am considering
these panels which seem budget friendly)
the room will be painted in a dark theme, minimal furniture and some fixtures for LED strips for some cool WLED effects and ambient lighting.
For the floor we stuck with normal dark tiles because the humidity in my city ruins any carpet flooring.
> In addition to the above, Sonically, placing the TV on the shorter wall and firing the speakers along the longer wall gives better room coupling.
Unfortunately that wasnt possible due to the location of the room, the right wall is the only place suitable for a window which isnt facing a neighbor's wall, and the left wall is pretty thin and next to a bathroom, so not adviced to keep TV there.
