Mission MS-200 Input Connection

Thanks all for your valuable answers but still I'm confused why I can't use the sub with stereo amp.

Can you explain me how my amp will shutdown if I connect to the subwoofer. Then what is the purpose of speaker level input in the subwoofer. I even had a chat with SVS team(below), they said there wont be any issues if you connect the marantz amp with SB1000 through speaker level input. If I can connect with SB1000 then why not with Taga Sw 10 v2. ?(as another dealer suggested, it can't be connected with taga sub)

Thanks,
Subbiya

Oh wait, I was still refering to the Mission sub you mentioned earlier which did not have Speaker Level inputs. Which Taga sub are you talking about? Does it have speaker level inputs? If it does, then there should be no problem at all. in connecting the Amp to the sub. Use a cable splitter to split the pairs of cable going to the speaker and to the sub. This if the Sub does not have Speaker Out. If the Sub has Speaker level Input and Output then connections are even easier and more reliable(lesser chances of shorting).

It is mandatory to use cable splitter. ? I can't directly connect the two pairs of wire from the amp to sub. ?
Idea to keep it safe, not resulting in shorting the cables. So it's up to you to figure out how to do it best. Using a splitter is one of the solutions.

You mean I have to double up the connections on the amplifier as mentioned in the below link.

Yes. That is how you have to connect, as shown in the second picture. You have just one pair speaker terminals on your amp. So both speakers and Sub have to be fed by that. Now if you had speaker out on the sub, then a simple pair of cables to the sub and then from sub to speakers would have done it. Now if you do not have Speaker Out on the Sub, then you have to run cables from the amp to the Sub and to the Speakers. Hence you use splitters, plugs, etc to avoid stuffing cables into the speaker terminals, increasing the risk of shorting.

Hence, the suggestion to look for a Sub with Speaker In and Out terminals. What are you current Sub options?

I found only Velodyne Subwoofers to have both speaker level In/Out, but I prefer to go with sealed sub. which I dont find anything as of now, Please suggest me if you know anything.
