Given how pathetic Times Now and stuff is, I don't really have any hopes with this channel.

yep..a bit sceptical about this channel..Times group will stuff this channel with ads and kill the movie watching experience. HBO and Star seems to be in a state of limbo when it comes to starting their HD channel in India.

Seems like a hoax launch to me. I seriously doubt that they have actually launched the channel yet. They themselves do not know which platform is carrying the channel. It's kind of silly to say a channel has launched, when there is actually no way for it to reach the viewer. They are simply trying to create interest and hype to be able to negoitiate with the DTH companies.

U r right the channel has "NOT" yet launched, the movie schedules are just dummy. Read in other forum that the channel is gonna launch on December 2 it seems. hyeah:

Well I saw the promo too, but no word from the dth broadcasters. If it does launch, I wouldnt mind deleting my regular movie packages, as a tradeoff. As it is, the kind of mvies I like to watch are hardly on TV.

It's available on our Siti cable in Dadar area, now they are showing only movie i Robot as a test signal. I am watching this channel through my set top box without any provision for 5.1 ch sound hence I can't tell you more about 5.1 sound but viewing experience is quite pleasurable compared to rest movie channels.

I called up the lousy Tata ksy customer service this morning and the girl there didn't have any clue about MoviesNow. Ice Age is supposed to be aired at 11 a.m. and I don't think TS is carrying this channel as of now
