All English Movie Channel on DTH is useless for the following reason:

(1) Movies are mercilessly edited for censorship.
(2) Broadcast Quality of most DTH are pathetic.
(3) Change in original Aspect Ratio.
(4) Frequent break for Advertisment.

I hardly watch movies on DTH / Cable.

I concur with you. Having a large collection, I hardly ever feel like watching movies on TV. In fact, I sometimes wonder whether my current package is a case of oversubscription.

Still waiting for Tata Sky DTH to offer Movies Now HD

I called Tata Sky... Same old line... Its in process.. We can't commit anything now

Dont know when Tata Sky subscribers will get the Channel.

If they add it in another 1 year, I would be happy They first need to get more TP or free some TPs of low TRP channels to add more HD channels. Movies now seems to be last in their list of HD channels. They might add ESPN HD, Star Cricket HD, Nat Geo Wild and Adventure HD, even Travel XP HD, Mtunes HD (that is what I remember the name - Only HD hindi music channel currently available) before thinking about adding Movies Now HD.

HD Movies on these channels are close to BR quality you could get, so particularly Star HD channels have changed the way we see movies for now with NO breaks whatsoever. Even breaks on Movies Now are minimal.

This is the reason why i took Sun DTH HD connection..

Good thing in this is even if you miss to watch a movie in Movies Now today, no problem it will again repeat tomorrow,day after tomorrow in worst case throughout a week. They have broadcast license for less than 30 movies apart from Kunfu,Karate movies.But picture quality is very good and Sound quality is very very good. It's a waste of time to wait for this channel. Content perspective every english movie channels beats movies now

I have recorded most of the classic James Bond Movies on Star Movies HD. They are in true HD and I could have not imagined seeing them with such great quality! So Star Movies HD is certainly competing with Movies Now, though it still show some SD, improper aspect ratio content (possibly to increase the number of movies).
