Murphy speakers

Hello everyone , I have recently acquired vintage Murphy speakers they are 3 way with a10 inch woofer 5.5 inch mid and 2 inch tweeter and another 1 inch super tweeter which is of horn type. The speakers have controls for mid and highs at the back and can take a maximum of 40 watts . impedance is 8 ohms and I'm assuming they have high sensitivity because they are sounding surprisingly loud when connected to my 15 wpc akai amp. so any one in this forum have heard these speakers can this some more light on the specs of these speakers. the cabinets are very heavy and they have a beautiful wooden grill in the front.

Congratulations! sounds like a wonderful pair of speakers from your description of them. Do post some pictures if you can.

Unfortunately, no personal experience with Murphy speakers.
