for you mukesh - regards

Hi Suri,

Sad to hear about Ridge, it is very painful to lose such an integral part of your life....

I cannot handle such loss, hence never had one....

Now that is a very smart Golden Retriever....Bruno sure is good looking Mukesh....

I have a Golden Retriever (10.5 years old) and a German Shepherd (10 years old) myself - Begum and Betty....

hi suri,

am sharing pic of my dear Bruno who gives me more joy thru his undivided attention than my audio video toys :)

regarding my wheels - they are safari dicor 2.2, swift and a yezdi :yahoo:

the safari is driven by apart from its turbo engine, jvc ax33 hu, rainbow components, kenwood amp and 12"hammer sub.

thanks and regards
mukesh

thanks mr pandit, he indeed is a fine specimen, always at 100% charge, alert, responsive...in fact he's always lookin in your eyes for some kind of communication, never sits alone...has a strange fetish for stones:ohyeah: brings home one every time he goes for a walk and plays with it for hours.

please share pics of your pets.

thanks and regards
mukesh

Golden Retreivers are meant to go and retrieve ........Mine has been retrieving stones each time she goes out of the house and has been doing it continuosly for 10 and a half years...Retrievers have it in their genes and they can't help themselves...
These dogs were used as hunting dogs by the British and they brought back the patridges and birds shot down without hurting the birds in their mouth.. ...
I will post pics soon as I have recently formatted my PC..

Suri and Mukesh

Good to see dog lovers on this forum. I had a Dalmatian for 14 years, Brownie, and when she died, I buried her in my backyard. Her mother, Laika was also a pet.

My sons grew up with a dog in the house and the extra dimension in their lives was something that they only know about. I have thought of having another dog around, but the gap she left is not easy to fill.

Dalmatians are also very affectionate, though some of them are not as smart as Labs, I suppose.

i too love dogs...but have always found it convenient to own indian mongrels..yes those ubiquitous canines that populate the length and breath of our great nation... besides being relatively strong genetically speaking- perhaps through generations of rampant crossbreeding -they also seem to be as this report suggests smarter too...

well have owned cats too but with felines as one quote suggests...
you own dogs, with cats its the other way round..

another enlightening place as far as the pariahs are concerned..

hi moktan-

here are my indeterminate dogs -

By witchesofsound at 2010-05-12

after parenting (and losing) purebred dogs (at ages that they were not supposed to attain the lotus feet) - i adopted dogs that were not wanted by other people -

the one on the right in the picture is an ind-dog - very smart and a good companion-

the small one is a psycho - anti-social and does not like other humans- except his immediate family - likes other dogs, though!

suri thanks..
though it is interesting that every time someone posts an image shack link i have to get past the K9 defense..
with no offense to anyone, there are times when i have felt that people set out to own dogs as a status symbol, a kind of keeping up with the joneses, without realizing that they (dogs) can sometimes get as complicated as humans......
my message therefore is that owning dogs (or any other living creature for that matter) is a serious affair..it would be a mutually beneficial exercise if some amount of research preceded such pet keeping predilections ...
it is however real sad when some intelligent canine is lorded over by a mutt of a master...

well, moktan, - hehehe!!

for more than half my life - i have had dogs and a wife -

and dogs are easier to manage - less serious? and less paranoid? more accepting of their fate? (their fate of being attached to an ar$#h&le - wives cannot take it?)

hehehe!:)

isn't there a contradiction here?? 'dogs' easier to manage and yet just 'a wife'..unless we have to give in to the fact that wives (or just a wife) live longer than dogs..:D

it is like this moktan -

being betrothed and, then, married to one girl/woman - and then relating to this species of human being - is enough to cause aversion to other members of said group - the tension and the sparks do not abate with time - they acquire a special edge that cuts deep - as time goes by.

but - with dogs - each one is special - and each one makes you feel special - and - i would not mind looking after 30 dogs!

but = only ONE wife - more than enough!!

so between a canine and continence you would rather choose both...:D

hehehe!! -

moktan - you tell me - would you suffer a life-time of abuse for a moment of carnal pleasure with a stepney?

regds suri hehehe!

oh! and moktan - if you are wondering about the word "stepney" -

Does the word "Stepney" exist?

(T.M.Krishnan, Chennai)

Yes, it does. Stepney is actually the name of a street in Llanelli, Wales where the spare wheels for the motorcar were originally made. Since the tyres were made in Stepney, spare wheels began to be called "stepney wheel". Later, it was shortened to "Stepney". These wheels consisted of ready inflated tyres which could temporarily be clamped over a punctured wheel. Nowadays, of course, the word "Stepney" is mostly heard in countries like India, Bangladesh, etc, which were once part of the British Empire. These days, native speakers of English use the word "spare" instead of "Stepney". The word "Stepney" is unheard of in America. and suri uses the word to mean ' the extra woman used for carnal pleasures"

That is an awesome picture....Definitely one of my favourites of pets....I have forwarded it to a number of people so the forum should expect to see a lot of guests viewing Bruno's picture....

George, Panditji and Suri, here's another pic of bruno upto his favourite antic - very fond of being carried around in 'godhi" like a small baby !!!

mukesh

Moktan, real proud of you my friend....I admire you for keeping and taking care of the Indian mongrels and not just owning a fancy breed....
Respect for you...
