New External HDD 2 TB WD not getting recognized/detected

I got my new External HDD 2 TB today and when I connected to my PC it said unable to install device drivers and the HDD is not getting recognized.
I have WD 1 TB External HDD which is working fine.
Is there something I can do? I tried swapping the ports as well.

Have u tried another PC / Laptop?
Is ur pc having (Older ) usb 1.1 or Usb 2.0?

What is ur HDDs model No?

Try connecting from back side USB ports..

I tried all ports. I have a PCI Card for USB 3.0 so I tried that and all the USB Ports. I have stopped using the USB ports at front of my Cabinet.

I have another 1 TB External HD WD which is being recognized my PC.


My TV Samsung D6000 LED TV is detecting the new 2 TB External HDD

Then try from any other friend PC/Lap.. they you can decide what should be done...

Reinstall windows.

Download and install WD SES Driver and then try connecting it.

Already tried that option.

Had the operating system reinstalled on another HDD and now it's working.
