Nikon D5200 vs Canon 600D

Hi,

Camera:
Looking for a good DSLR camera and shortlisted the following around 30K.

- Nikon D5200
- Canon 600D

I think 600D should be compared with D5100 since both are in same category in terms of PHotography. But I am looking primarily for both photography and video as well.

Please suggest me which one would be best in this or tell me if any other SLRs can come into this list.

Lens:
My need is to take family photos and possibly natural scenes. So please suggest a suitable Lens as well.
