Optoma HD141x HD / Full 3D

Hi guys new optoma hd141x owner here. I'm running a 120" screen and I'm convinced the picture isn't as good as when I set it up closer on a table yet I've seen videos on YouTube of crystal clear images with the same projector anyone else running 120 inch screen ? I find anything less than 1080p is just really pixely.

What do u mean when u say 'as good as when i set it up closer on a table'?

I have 120 inch and runs pretty gud without any problem. You are right difference between 1080p and lower resolutions is pretty evident at this size.

When I had it set up closer to the screen the picture was amazing but at 120 inch I'm convinced it's not quite as clear as it was I wonder if it's so bright is some of the light bouncing right back into the lens

The viewing distance is a the playing factor here. Try sitting far back. At or behind the point where projector is installed. From that distance i feel you should find it better. Yes i know shifting urself back defeats the purpose of having a bigger screen but one needs to accept the science of minimum viewing distance.

Also at that screen size the light severly bleeds on to walls and ceiling which may be making you feel the light is bouncing back. So it is important you have some light control in your room. If u r able to make it pitch dark, and non reflective dark/black walls, results are significantly better.

Hi, replied to this in your other post... I think it is universal, works for both 110 and 220. So go ahead an connect it to UPS.

If its universal voltage then just get a good quality 2 flat Pin plugs. You get for 5 to 10/- as well but those are of very bad quality and keeping your projector in mind better get something which holds the grip perfectly and should cost around 50 to 100/- and most of them come with universal pins, so you can use almost different country standards.

Please suggest me good 3d glasses for this projector

Go to ebay.in. Any 3D glasses with the words DLP Active 3D for projector will work. Preferably SainSonic. You can also pm forum member digistar . He had most recent experience in purchasing 3D glasses.

Hi folks,

Need some help here plz.

I have just hooked my new HD26 and planning to project on 120" screen already in place.

when i switch it on ,it projects the image on the ceiling. I tried to play with the settings image shifting V/H , tilting projector by lifting it from the rear but couldn't resolve . half the image is still on the ceiling .

Projector is placed in shelf which is mounted on the back wall at approx. 8.5 feet from the floor.

Distance from screen to lense is 14 feet.
floor to bottom of the screen is 3 feet

Can someone please help with finding proper settings to project image properly on the screen?

thanks !
