Here is the BluRay collection I recently made.
All the discs are bought from Amazon.co.uk except following 3 items:
Swades, Jodha Akbar, The Good The Bad The Ugly. (These were bought from FlipKart.com)

Bought all these discs after purchasing Toshiba Region Free BD Player from Amazon.de.

The simple funda for buying these movies is...All of them are among my favourite movies and I wanted to have these movies in the best available format !!

Also, I have pre-ordered 3 more discs on Amazon.co.uk...
The Avengers, Titanic (Bluray 3D +Bluray), Cabin In The Woods

Oh no.... the Blu Ray bug has bitten me... and the culprit are the members here in this forum. I need help!!

Started with a few purchases last year and then stopped. Now again I have fallen for it and started to look for great movies on blu-ray.

Well, in the past 2 weeks I've acquired about 15 movies on blu ray from ebay, flipkart, amazon, local stores, etc. The collection currently is not big but just like a starter.

I see many pictures posted by members of their collection and it looks great. I shall post a few pics of my small collection so the esteemed members and suggest for good picks.

Someone mentioned about thehut.com for cheap blu ray movies, has any one purchased from there? if yes, what is your review about the blu ray box packaging and shipment time. The shipping charges of 0.99 is mouth watering but I want to get it confirmed from members here.

i had ordered from hut , my first 4 parcel came in time and nicely pack , single blu ray gets packed in bubblewrap bag and big box set like same as amazon but amazon would be little better , but my last 2 parcel from hut and 1 parcel from zavvi which is owned by hut did not arrive , same happened with some of my friends .but they refunded money back i was amazed for how quick i got money back they mailed me they processed and damn next dday i got , flipkart says u get in 5 to 7 days, , i wont be ordering anything again from hut or zavvi nothing against them but something is wrong with customs or maybe parcel are getting lost.

i would advice you stick with amazon as they are best even if its loo late parcel do arrive plus u can complain i guess even after month if u not receive while with hut or zavvi u have to inform before 40 days or they wont entertain, zavvi sucks when it comes to cc , hut is good just msg them on fb they reply in a day and take quick action and amazon is out of this world

can you tell me what is your genre when you watch movies , i dont know what you own but i would suggest some titles which i have

if you like action then dark knight , spiderman and james bond movies like casino royale of daniel craig , dr no , from russia with love and goldfinger these are classic. And my fav buddy cop movie lethal weapon series or dirty harry series

sci fi avatar it has best visuals jaw dropping i know its motion cap , but still , and alien box set 1 and 2 are good but 3 is ok and 4 is meh.

I would also like to recommend Amazon.co.uk for buying BluRays.
I got all the Bluray discs within the specified estimated delivery time.
One item was not delivered (as the parcel was lost), so I contacted Amazon and they immediately refunded the delivery charges. They asked me to wait for one more week, however the item was not delievered, then they asked me whether i want a refund or replacement delivery. I requested Amazon to send the same item again and it was delivered within 4 days.
So far, it's been a great experience buying BluRay items from Amazon.co.uk

Had Ordered Nolan Collection on 8th July from Amazon US. Received on 18th July. No customs. Was shipped by aramex.

Have ordered 4 BDs from amazon UK. All different order. Total 3 parcels. Shipped on 16th July by Royal Mail. Hope to receive them between 20-24 July.

How many times you guys had to pay customs? And will it help, if order contains 1 or 2 movies?

INR Value up to 5000 is usually safe from customs. Overall it is better to stick to 5 or less items per package.

Got the delivery of the Harry Potter Complete 8-Film Collection.
It is a wonderful pack and comes with 11 blu ray discs. A great price too... the best part - no customs.

I was keeping my fingers crossed and here it comes without any duty.
Now I can keep myself busy in the coming weekend with Harry Potter.

you have region free or region b player ?
coz pirates 3rd movie is locked , lord of the rings is whole locked andso as spaghetti.

if u have then lord of rings is must have 6 blus 9 dvd many hours of content.

I am using the blu ray's through Asus internal blu ray writer using a software which bypasses the region check. So, practically it makes it region free.

Basically, I have connected my pc via hdmi to my onkyo receiver and play hd content.

Yes, but it will not play on my ps3 as it is locked with region c.

Get the LOTR extended. Worth the money you spent. It is region B, but with AnyDVD HD it can be played. The package has 6 blu-rays, 2 for each movie and a dozen dvds. I also suggest the Planet Earth and Life series if you don't have them already. You will be amazed at the PQ of these series.

Got the godfather trilogy on blu ray, i had ordered on 13 july , shipped on 14th and got today 20th july that was fastest parcel i received till now , costed 22.72 pounds and guess what no customs , its huge box in size and has 3 movie and 1 bonus disc all comes in separate case
