Post your latest AV purchase(s)......

Very interesting
Just went through the webpage
It uses dsp to regulate voltage so noise free and hopefully reacts absolutely quickly

After several months of search I finally upgraded my amp to SoulNote A1, this is my first Class A/B amp, I had a peachtree NOVA which is a Class D amp but it has stopped working few months back and couldn't service it. The SoulNote was way beyond my initial budget but I had stretched to go for it after listening to several other amps over the last few months. I haven't set it up completely yet as I am looking to add a power stabilizer before I start using the amp regularly.

HI, how is your experience with Orchid, read few positive reviews about this DAC recently. How did you get them? Do they ship to India?

My experience has been absolutely positive. A very musical sounding dac & a bargain for the price, I managed to pick am used one locally.

How much does CPT make a difference to the sound vs streamer 320kbps?
I am using Qobuz for streaming, and honestly, the sound quality is excellent. When I compare it with Spotify’s 320kbps streams, the difference is noticeable — especially in terms of depth and fullness. The sound from Qobuz feels more rounded and natural, quite close to what I hear from my CD Transport (CDT).

That said, the reason I went for a CDT was to make use of my growing CD collection. When I compare the same album on Qobuz and CD, the CD can still edge out slightly in terms of dynamics and presence, but it's really close.

In short, both CDT and high-res streaming like Qobuz sound fantastic — and I’m happy to have both options in my setup.

Added 2 bass shakers to HT sofa from Dayton Audio. Bass management is through Denon 3800 which allows for addition of tactile transducers with crossover frequency and level setting independent of main subwoofer. Powered in series by a Fosi Audio V3 mono. May have to beef up the amp.

Brilliant stuff! Whats the Frequency Response on these?

I've been using a couple of el cheapo Tang Band ones which i've loosely wedged into my recliner and they provide decent feedback but i think its time to get the real deal.

Beefing up the amp won't help. It is limitation of the bass shakers. They are just 50 watts or something not enough to shake the entire sofa properly. You will have to mount them at different places and then try. Find the thinnest woof available on the sofa and try mounting there. Or just cut two holes in the sofa and mount 12 inch subwoofers and get rid of the shakers. Subwoofers will work much better

I have kept the frequency cutoff at 40 hz in the Denon 3800 AVR ( all freq below 40 hz). These are fairly large and weigh about 3 kg each. It took some time to decide on the freq and the volume but once set it’s quite a toy to play around with !!

No these are the larger cousins -300 watts. They are working very well now - takes some time to tune them though
