Is it possible that LG is trying to promote the lower pj series and therefore is limiting the supply of PK550. Also it could make the entry level FULL HD to match Panasonic U series price.

I have no information or data for the above, just contemplating. Trying to create scenarios to convince myself to go and buy PK550 at ezone for 68000 Rs.

None other than national chains have this TV at the moment. They are not sure that they will get it either.

64.5K - delivery in two days

Well I finally talked to him and they have offered this deal.

64 K +airtel DTH ( thats offer from LG itself and comes with installation charges of 445/- extra) .

This 64K is NEGOTIABLE as said by the manager Ganesh if we 4 or 5 numbers for sure .

So well time for our best "negotiator" to come forward and get a deal

i am ready to go ahead for the pk550. I think krinamob is also in. So we are 3 of us. why don't we sync up and get a good deal. Krinamob mentioned abt a place where we could get the delivery the same day and the price was 65K. Probably some negotiation would get the price down.

Has anyone checked at Girias? When I bought my LG LCD last year, Girias had the lowest price in Mangalore - they were cheaper than Pai by almost 1K. Just thought of sharing this info. All the very best for the group buy

well i have spent the last few days searching various forums and demoing various sets and had zeroed in on the LG 50Pk550, now i inquired in my city and only 1 shop had this set, and they are quoting me a price of 65,800/- now when i told thema bout how people are getting it for as low as 62.5 K at some places then they gave me a reason that in Mumbai, bangalore and other places the sets are directly imported from Korea and thats why there is a bigger leg room for discount, whereas in the northern part of the country or where i live, they are supplied to them by LG India and that is why they can't reduce the price anymore, now i don't know if this reason holds any water and i want to know from you guys what do you think, also i have tried very hard but they won't go below 65,800. Is thata good price ? what do u guys think?

Please hurry since i am gonna buy it today.

I am waiting for the supposed 15-Jun official release of Samsung Plasma when they are supposed to offer some discounts.

I guess I will at-least take a week or two before I commit on the LG.

Anyone please who can shed some light on this, i am going to the shop at around 6pm that means I still have 2 hours. Any bright souls on this forum who can tell me about this "importing from Korea thing" cos to me this argument feels lucid and invalid.
