You can opt for Debut III and then upgrade the platter and cartridge when it fits your budget.

I was just suggesting an option. Debut III will obviously not match the Xpression III in sound but is a more viable alternative at times of money constraints.
Project Debut III demo piece
Hi,
I was trying to purchase a Project Debut III for almost a year now and was
in touch with Mr. Sushil Anand in Nova Audio. Finally he offered a demo
piece of the TT couple of weeks back. I went, auditioned and purchased.
I waited for a long time for a turn table and also I
was overwhelmed chatting with him on electronics and did not think
about the TT much. But when I came back home with the TT I came to my
sense and decided that I want a new one and not a demo piece. There is
no particular reasons. The TT is in new condition and not used or owned
before. I called him up and told him my feelings. He immediately decided
to take it back and give me a new one when he gets. Now the TT is lying
packed in my home and waiting to go back to Sushil again.
Just last night it came to my mind that if someone from Hifivision is willing
to take it then I do not have to carry it back to him.
I have the following conditions.
1. Price to be paid as I paid (Rs 18225/-). Full guarantee from Nova Audio.
2. No return to me, take up any issue with Sushil. I have the cash memo with Vat. Date of purchase 9th March 2011.
3. Payment by bank transfer or cash.
4. You have to pick it up from my home.
If any of you need then PM me. The first person to send a PM will get it.

Chandan mate, you own the sistine chapel and are contemplating to put wallpaper on its frescoes that were last painted by someone called michael angels or so

You can keep the demo piece mate unless you are getting a better model.
i mean, the more important factors about tts performance are its setting as well as cart n stylus setting as also hoe clean your lp is.
having a platter thats purred for a few hours aint a big issue mate. how many people do you think demoed the said tt in a month??

I have my Project Genie 2 lying in a box that is not being used. I had some problems related to the buzz and Sushil said there was a problem with the tonearm bearing. It's completely listenable, but it does buzz from time to time. However, this could also be a problem with my home electricals as I'm getting strange noises from my other TT as well.
If someone (prefereably in Mumbai) wants to buy it, they can take it and demo it for a few days and see if they are happy with it. PM me if anyone's interested.

Hi,
Thanks for your insight and sharing experience. I still have not found a
taker. One person reponded but I replied late, in the mean time he
purchased from somewhere else. Now I feel this particular TT is either
destined to live with me or going back to Sushil. I called him again,
he said I can sell it and he will issue cash memo in the second
buyer's name as well. He will give me a new TT.
Sushil is very kind and coopearative.
Edit: the TT has no problem, it just that I prefer a new one...
