Recently i have bought SONY VPL-HW50ES.

Advise needed for...

1) Best settings for Cave room.

I think, This may be the personel preference.

2) Projector Maintenance (Any Lamp projectors)

a) Is it UPS neccessary?
b) Is it AC should ON always while running the projector?
c) Ventilation tips? (Planing to put on shelf embedded on the wall)
d) Any other common tips based on your experience?

3) Screen Maintenance (Fixed Screen)

a) How to avoid dust formation?
b) Avoid heat impact from wall to screen (Fixed screen) ?
(Wall/Room temparatur will be very hight during peak summar)
c) Any other common tips based on your experience?

Thanks,
Swamy

UPS - yes, if frequent power disruption happens. At my place in bglr, power is cut is not much but still I went for it fearing PJ lamp failure.

AC - not needed for PJ but only for human comfort. PJ's dont generate that kind of heat to ask for an a/c.

Ventilation - You can keep your wooden rack front open while equipments are in use (if using rack).

screen - Check with ur screen provider if you can wipe of any dirt with mild damp cloths. should be ok, thats what my person told.

dust formation - if dedicated room, always keep it closed. But open it for a few hrs/day during night for better air circulation(dont open the windows or doors while house is getting cleaned/swept by maid or during peak traffic hours if your house is on the main road). Or you can make a custom cloth cover for the PJ covering its ventilated areas atleast.
