Very nice upgrade. The Broadcom chip both cpu and gpu is much better than say the current version MI box s 4k. So this will give tough competition to many TV boxes and maximum flexibility. Many places already out of stock.

No enhancement on audio side but yes, video playback will be really smooth with 4gb RAM

Looks like driving current for USB ports is increased as they are showing portable HDD directly connected without external power supply here

Not directly audio related say like a better clock but now no shared bus between USB and Ethernet
That by itself should improve many things for audio

But still if it's a SBC I need only for audio I would choose allo usbridge combo which has a sparky SBC

Two new USB 3.0 have been included which enable us to use any USB 3.0 HDD available in market for media storage. USB 3.0 supplies current upto 900mA than 500mA of USB 2.0. But we need to ensure of using quality 3Amps Power supply at the minimum.

The specification says

• HEVC decode to 4K@60 (with HDR)
• HDR audio (TrueHD/DTS-HD)

We need to wait for more details on this. 4K@60fps and HDR are big addition. We may need HDMI audio extractor to get Digital audio out of board.
